What a night! :) by
Cheryl S.
After all my complaining about lack of sleep, I thought I'd share the
good too. Last night Jaden went to sleep by 9:30, woke at 3:00, nursed
for 10 minutes, played with the rocking chair pad and looked around his
room for 10 minutes, started yawning so I put him back to breast, nursed
for another...

What about EBM on flights? by
[email protected]
I'm flying soon and I'd like to take some EBM in a bottle for DS for
the flight. They are confiscating liquids. Not sure what to do about
this...as I'd like not to have to DUMP my milk if I bring it.
Anyone know?
Thanks.

what about fluoride drops? by
oregonchick
Emily is 5 months now. I was at the dentist with her yesterday for my own
checkup, and the dentist was very surprised to find that I didn't have her
on fluoride drops yet. He said they start right around this time, and
wondered why my ped hadn't mentioned it.
Fluoride drops? Yeah, I know what...

what age do babies become aware of tv? by
Linda
Ok I don't mean when they are happy to lie there watching the flashing
lights and hearing the sounds, I mean when is it no longer ok to cuddle them
while watching a movie with violence, language etc as they might be picking
up on it? I don't want to be exposing my DD to things that might...

What can I do? by
zeldabee
Poor little 3-months-and-one-week-old Sprogly has his first cold. This,
of course, is right after I'd congratulated myself that he hadn't caught
the cold Bloke and I had around Thanksgiving.
He's snuffy and has a cough. He's feverish, his temp is around 100-101F.
Poor little bubby is just...

What can I expect to feel? by
Philly
I think we may have finished breastfeeding. Dd (14 months) was only
nursing before bed until the weekend and since then she hasn't nursed
at all. I am not sure how I feel about it really but I've been trying
to find out what sort of feelings to expect and I haven't had any luck
so thought I'd try...

What can I take for a cough? by
cjra
A really BAD cough?
I've had a cold -which starts with flu like symptoms but no fever -
every 2 weeks for months now. It gets better after a week then the
next week starts again. This time, it's at its worst, and the drainage
(finally - I was having a really hard time breathing at all, even...

What can I take for a sore back by
Sue
I would say Motrin. Ibuprofen (motrin) helps with muscular pain and reduces
swelling.

What can you do while breastfeeding a young baby? by
Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward
I'm in my 36th week, and am wondering what sorts of things one can do
while breastfeeding. I understand lots of women watch TV. I have lots
of books I've started to read and haven't finished so I'd like to get
that done while breastfeeding.
What do others do?

What causes mastitis? by
Cathy Weeks
I wound up with mastitis for the first time - and my nurseling is
nearly 2 years old! I thought it was rare this far into a
trouble-free nursing relationship?
I woke up Wednesday morning (after having no symptoms previously) with
a sore breast, and felt awful - fever and muscle aches (on top of...

What could be causing this? Opinions please... by
Kathy
For the past 24 hours or so, our DD (4 weeks tomorrow, exclusively
bf'ed) has been behaving differently than usual. I'm worried about her
and wondering what might be causing this...ANY opinions are welcome.
She has had VERY bad gas and has been pooping a lot...about 1/2 of the
time with some...

what do stay at home moms do? by
oregonchick
Hey, I have to ask! This is new territory to me. I've always worked and
worked full time. It was a neccessity before as a single mom. Now I'm
married, and we have determined the family is better off if I don't work.
So now what do I do? The house is clean, the groceries stocked up, dinner
is...

What do you reckon??? (m/c mentioned) by
A&G&K
I posted this message to mkp earlier today, but thought I'd ask people here
for an opinion also .....
Hmmmm,
I was so sure AF was starting after a tiny bit of spotting on Tuesday (29
days since the D&C) ... guess I jumped the gun as there's been nothing
since. The bleeding from the D&C had...

what does a plugged duct feel like? by
oregonchick
I have this excruciating pain in my right breast. Not the whole breast
hurts, but one area in kind of a line from top to nipple. It almost feels
like an intense engorged pain, and all night it throbbed. It's agony! But
I don't feel a hard lump or anything to indicate a clog. I'm pumping...

What does breastfeeding advocacy mean to you? by
Mum of Two
There is a lot of debate raging on parenting bulletin boards about
breastfeeding advocacy, how it should be done, why it's necessary, if it's
necessary etc. It seems like a lot of people are offended by BF advocacy
itself - or what they perceive it to be - and as such there is a bit of a
backlash...

What finger foods to start? by

I'm terrified of DD choking....she's 7.5 months now, has one tooth.
She doesn't quite have the pincer grasp, altho she's getting there.
She's not too thrilled with the pureeed solids. well, some days she
is, others not at all. She definitely likes picking at our plates. So
suggestion was made to...
