15 month old hitting by
jojo
Hi,
We have a 15 month old that has started hitting (slapping) when he gets
angry.
We try to redirect him, or physically take his hand and show him gentle
stroking
when he hits and we say "be gentle, gentle hands" This sometimes works and
sometimes not.
Sometimes he will then pat or stroke the...

15 month old throwing food by
jojo
how do I keep him from throwing food whenever he wants?
If he doesn't like it he throws it.
We give him a firm no, and take all food away once he starts throwing it,
but it doesn't stop it from happening the very next meal.
Thanks
jojo

My 15 month old daughter's appetite has cut to half since a week or so and I
am looking for tips on getting it back. She was eating biscuits, cereals,
fruits (mostly other sweet stuff) and some rice, soup etc. This was probably
twice a day. I was in the process of increasing her intake of solid...

15 month screaming by
Neil Rutman
My 15 month son is generally a very mellow kid. Recently he has begun
screaming/screeching at near the top of his lungs. My wife and I believe he
is frustrated because he is talking/babbling but not easily understood and
looking for attention (hard to believe he needs more than he gets) so we...

How can I get my 15 month old to eat table foods? He eats his jar food
just find but not table food. We've tried everything - diced fruits and
veggies but he won't eat it. I tried cooking food, the Gerber Graduates
stuff, Beech-Nut table time and he doesn't eat it. He'll only eat stage 2
jar...

15 month well check by
jojo
He is growing so fast.
Question: His head circumference has always been off the chart (my partner
can attest to
this, even at birth :-))
My Pedi has absolutely no concern about this, and says he just has "lots of
brains, ha ha".
otherwise, he is in the 50th percentile on everything else.
Since...

within an hour or two of going down. He is just starting to pull up and has

16mo only eats babyfood & will not self feed...advice needed by
Kathy
At DD's 15 month Well Baby Visit, her pediatrician made a very big issue
of the fact that DD will only eat baby food. I'm looking for advice
concerning this.
DD (1 week shy of 16 months now) has only 2 teeth, and she only got them
1 month ago. I understand that babies can mash food up with their...

Hi,
I had a question for everyone.
My 17 month old DD is developing quite well in most areas, but our last
WBV hs made me upset. Our pediatrician (who I think will no longer be
our Pediatrician after this visit!) proceeded with quite a tirade at
our last visit because DD is still eating jarred...

17 month old torchering cat by

Hi,
Obviously we have a 17 month old and a cat.
whenever DS can get away with it, he will grasp her tail really
hard and not let go. We have tried removing (prying) his hand
from the cats tail, opening his hand and helping him pet gently.
This is where we say things like "we use gently hands to...

Hi,
Just had our DD at the Peds for WBV and am a little upset.
My DD isn't walking yet and while I freely admit that a majority fo
babies do, I'm really not concerned for her. Our Pediatrician, on the
other hand is. She wants us to see a specialist to evaluate DD for
delays. I have no...

18 month old not talking by

DO boys talk later than girls? I'm wondering, I've heard so many
stories how boys are later than girls in a lot of things, not the least
of which is potty training and talking. Anyways...so I have a 3 1/2 yo
dd, and she was potty trained by 21 months (nighttime and all) and
talking so at least I...
