Is rice milk suitable for baby starting solids? by
Liz
To me, it tastes much closer to breast milk than cows milk. The only concern
I would have is it has salt listed as an ingredient. DD will be six months
old in a week, and I think I'll try her on solids then -- she seems keen.
Thanks,
Liz

10 mo partying at breast causing nipple trauma by

Ok, I know this is a phase, but how do I end it sooner than later and
what can I do for my poor nipple? I nurse my ds down for naps and bed

DS is 16 months. i'm wondering what other people who breastfeed to sleep and
do *not* use cry it out do when their toddler decides bedtime is not
something they are interested in.
usually DS is pretty good at bedtime - straight to sleep on the booby, but
sometimes he's not quite so good...

what is a good breast pump by
Dawn Lawson
Lori wrote:
Hi everyone
Can someone please tell me what a good breast pump would be.
Avent Isis for manuals
Medela's Pump in Style for electric.
You're likely going to hear that electric is far better for serious pumping
(ie, going back to work early)

18 mo, barely eats solids? by
Sarah
Hello all, I have an 18 month old baby who nurses 10-20 times a day,
doesn't get his main sustenance from solid food. Is this bad? He'll
eat a very small amount of eggs and beans in morning, sip on diluted
juice throughout the day, now is starting to drink a few oz's of whole
cow's milk, and does...

static weight by

Just wondering if anyone thinks I should be worried about static weight

still doesn't eat much solids.

Avent Isis, Pumping, Bottle Feeding Questions by

Hi--
I have a few questions about pumping with my Avent Isis and occasionally
feeding by bottle...
My daughter is 23 days old today. I am a stay at home Mom and am
exclusively breastfeeding, which is going well.
I would like to be able to pump and freeze a small stash of breastmilk,
which would...

Large breasts and LCs by

Ok, if it weren't for glassboobs rambling aobut being unable

occured to me about an hour after birth, instead of at 25
weeks.
I've got really big breasts. My current guess is that...

I have a question that is probably a bit silly:
I have just started back at work and I will be pumping/expressing for my six

hours) and just pumped once and that worked fine. But on the day after tomorrow
(Wed.) I will have...

Q about mastitis by

no, not me ....
My best friend has just had a bad bout of mastitis and is trying to get her

weeks old ... but very small as she was 5 weeks premmie and with IUGR). My
friend isn't a big eater (thin as a rake) and so hasn't...

Chookie, you recently pointed out that formula advertising was not allowed

bottle is easier... by

maybe it's just me, but my milk flows much faster than the bottle,
especially with a let down. it seems like I am trying to drown my DD
sometimes. she gets very frustrated id she has to suck more than once or
twice instead of just swallowing. She's 7 weeks old. I'm hoping this will
taper off...
