"Child is Born" and other neat books by
Mary S.
I just got the new edition of "A Child is Born," and it is amazing. We
had the first (1970s?) edition in the house during my first pregnancy,
but the new pictures are just incredible.
I'm also enjoying the sentimental but lovely "Gift of Life," which I
never got around to reading with...

Rash and Nesting Syndrome by
Carol
My name is Carol, I live in Pennsylvania (USA), I am 9 weeks pregnant, and
I'm turning 40 in 27 days. This will be our first child; we were pregnant
in 2002, but it ended in a missed miscarriage.
I've been anxious about whether this one would end the same way, but on
Friday we had an ultrasound...

We've changed our minds by
DeliciousTruffles
If the baby is a girl, we are probably going to name her our first
choice: Isabella.
We had this name picked out a very long time ago when I was pregnant
with the twins but we didn't know the sexes yet.
I've always liked the name because I think of Isabella Rossellini, whom
I adore (I think she...

I asked the dumbest one by
Shena Delian O'Brien
So I am still worried about the baby shower thing.
I thought the way to bring it up idly with family was to find one of
them and ask them if they had baby showers with their babies. (Most of
their babies are teenagers and I can't really recall personally...)
So my sister logs onto AOL and I send...

Breech at 30 weeks by
dw
I just had my 30 wk appt., with u/s to check on previously diagnosed
marginal previa. Well, the good news is that the placenta has
'cleared' the cervix, so previa is no longer an issue. The bad news
is that they discovered the baby is currently in breech position. I
never had this with my ds,...

things for new baby list by
LeAnn
Can someone direct me to a website that has a list of everything a new
mother would need for a baby? Also a list of things to take to the hospital
would be helpful also! Thank you!

Travel System (stroller) recommendations? by
dkc
Hi,
I'm expecting my first baby in May, and I want to buy a travel system
stroller for him. I'm torn between a couple of Graco models (primarily the
Sterling and Quattro models) and Eddie Bauer (the Glacier Euro Z and
Manchester Euro models). Does anyone have any experience with either of
these...

I saw the cardiologist today. by
DeliciousTruffles
So, not much new information. He said that he would be reluctant to put
me on any medication because he's not sure it would work. Also, he
wants to see me for further testing after the pregnancy is over.
Regarding the pregnancy, specifically VBAC vs. c-section, he says it
depends on how much...

constant vomiting by
Jess
Hi- I am in my 10th week (first pregnancy) and have been vomiting now
since week 6. My doctor prescribed phenergan, which slows it down so
I don't need IV fluids and am at home, but doesn't stop it. I haven't
been able to work or do much of anything but lie around and feel
miserable. please tell...

great news! by
Vicky Bilaniuk
I went for another ultrasound today, just to make sure that things were,
in fact, OK. They are!! Yay! We actually got to see the heart beating
(I can't believe the definition they can get with ultrasound equipment -
I mean, I actually saw the little thing flapping away). It was measured

Ultrasound by
A&G&K
Thankfully, we appear to be having one healthy-looking baby (and not the
five monkeys that I dreamed I was having). The little one was fairly quiet
on the u/s but waved at us which was cute. Having said that, I swear that
I've been feeling movement the last couple of mornings when I've woken...
