Want to put her down! by
Lina
Does anyone else have a baby that won't let you put her down?
Alena won't even sleep in her bassinette anymore! She wants constant skin
to skin contact! Right now she's in the Maya Wrap and is quite content. But
I need to cook breakfast and DH is still sleeping.
If I put her down, she screams...

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Goes to Vegas (almost as long as the trip itself) by
Phoebe & Allyson
(Not cross-posted, but posted several places separately.)
There should be a special hell reserved for people who drag
10 week old babies on cross-country roadtrips, and one
feature of that hell is the presence of a 10 week old baby
on your cross-country roadtrip.
We set off at 6am on the 7th,...

hales lookup & another question by

my dr has prescribed me aprinox 5mg (for fluid retention). obviously the dr
said it was ok for breastfeeding. but the pharmacist said no. what does
hales say? i would be worried that it would dry up my milk supply.

anxiety by
Heather
Hello,
This question is similar to the thread on post-natal depression but
I'm dealing with anxiety. My midwife says sometimes post-natal
depression can manifest as anxiety. However, I have been an anxious
person nearly all my life. Now with the baby (my first, he's now 7
mo.), I am even MORE...

poop, solids vent.. by
ted
My 5 month and 1 week old dd has started solids about two weeks ago.
She has all signs of readiness for solids. I've been giving her about
2 tablespoons of rice cereal only once a day. I have two questions.
(She's exclusively breastfed/ebm fed)
1. She's been pooping once in 3 days before I started...

Starting solids... by
Lina
I know this is WAY early, but when should you absolutely start solids? I've
heard of people waiting until the baby's about a year. What's the absolute
latest to start?

update to poop, solids vent.. by
ted
**gross alert**
My dd pooped today (A LOT) after 3 days of ebm and rice cereal. I
noticed that most of the poop is runny and seedy though darker in
color. I noticed few big lumps in the poop almost the size of golf
balls. Does this mean she can't digest rice cereal I've been giving
her? She didn't...

asparagus? by
azure
Audrey stinks! I think it is only her "wind" as her wet nappies smell ok,
and she doesn't really poo that much. Could it be the asparagus I've been
eating, or just the general increase in vegies? I thought exclusively fed
bf babies always smelt sweet, but boy is she dropping some...

Another question by
Lisa Besko
I always stuck a cloth diaper in my night gown. I also kept some around
for the breast not in use to leak on. I got tired of waking up wet all
the time.

They don't seem to have it online, so I can't show you what I'm talking about.
But I was at JCPenney last night and happened to pick up and browse through
their maternity catalog. They have a small selection of maternity/nursing
nightgowns and other sleepwear, some of which, of course, come with a...

Question for those taking Zoloft... by
Karen
Went to Dr today and she agreed for me to start Zoloft 50mg for 2 weeks, then
upto 100mg. She has reservations about me taking and nursing, I showed her the
description in Hales and she agreed as long as the baby is not having adverse
side affects. My question is when is the best time to take in...

I totally flunked my Postnatal Depression test :o( by
Andrea
Turns out despite my efforts the dreaded postnatal depression is back.
I really though I wasn't going to get it this time. My health visitor asked
lots of questions and I do have it again. I knew deep down inside, but I was
ignoring it.
I have never treated PND with meds before, and I won't, just...

latching problem? by
Kristi Silva
Hi. I have a three week old little girl, and I have a question about
breastfeeding. For about half of her feeding things are going just fine,
then she will start to make this "clicking" noise. All I can figure out is
that she is losing suction and then pulling back on really quick. I've...
