It's a wrap! by
Andrea
I used to post on the OBY-GYN forums, and met a woman on there who got
flamed for taping a blanket round her baby with duct tape.
She has just emailed me as she has now brought a swaddle blanket out show

Motivation needed by
Leigh McCuen
My (almost 8 mos old) daughter's been a slow eater from day 1. Her
typical nursing session's around 45 minutes, with her longer ones (in
the evening, or when she doesn't feel well) running to 2 hours. And she
nurses about every 2 hours (so there are times when I get maybe time to
run to the...

hair by
Sara
I recently got a haircut, and much of the hair I have left is
post-partum (what? I say I can use it like this, so pffft). It seems
to me that my hair has turned coarser since I gave birth. Has anyone
else experienced this?

Blood found in pumped milk - Please Help! by
Victor
My wife has been breastfeeding our first son for 4 1/2 months so far.
She started working about 2 months ago and has been pumping out breast
milk since then. A week ago, she noticed some blood in the pumped
milk, which makes about 3 ounces of milk displaying a pink color. This
happened again two...

NIP Twins?? by
Ellie
How do you ladies manage NIP with twins - or don't you? At home I feed them
both together - but this involves lots of strategic placing of cushions and
positioning. To feed them seperately whilst out would take forever - they
are not fast feeders.
I have got a sling but can't for the life of me...

drying up in one breast? by
MonifromMarrs
Ok I know this sounds strange but what could be going on here? My DD is 14
months old and will not nurse from one breast. She complains and says hungry
and more and please every time I try to nurse from the left side right side
seems fine and she dosnt complain a bit on that one. I had thought...

Sudden Change in Bowel Movements by
Zucca4
Very strange...DS, now a few days past his three month mark and exclusively
breastfed isn't pooping for a few days at a time. We're used to him going three
to four times daily and now nothing at all. He's in fine spirits, doesn't seem
to be in any discomfort., although a bit gassy. Dr. recommended...

Where does Dr. Hale get the funding for his research? by
DeliciousTruffles
I know that Dr. Thomas Hale is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Texas
Tech University School of Medicine and he researches Breastfeeding
Pharmacology. But where does he get the funding for his research? Does
anyone know if the drug companies fund his research?

6 month roll call by
Kathy
I was inspired by the "9 month ish roll call" posts to start a thread
for us 6 month-ers. I'd love to hear how you and your babies are
doing...
As for us, DD will be 6 months on Monday. She was exclusively BF until
4 days ago when we decided we couldn't wait anymore and had to try some
rice...

US today by
Sue
Anyone read the Sunday's USA weekend magazine that came with the news over
the weekend?
They are running a segment on children's safety and listed 15 new and useful
scientific findings for caring for your infant.
#1 was: Keep baby out of your bed. They say that a new study shows it simply
isn't...

Persuading someone by
Philly
I read a few baby message boards and have found a message that I am
quite compelled to reply to, but would like to get some facts before I
start ranting!
A lady has asked how soon breastfed babies sleep through the night.
She has one child already who was formula fed and slept through (9+
hours a...

DeliciousTruffles
Well, it's the new year and it's time to update the birthdays. So,
anyone who didn't get a greeting last year or is new to the group, and
would like a birthday greeting, either post the information to this
thread or email me (just take out "GoAwayWorm" from my address).

nighttime is a nightmare by
jake's mom
What is going on? Does teething get worse overnight? DS is taking decent
naps during the day(2 naps about 2 hours total--he used to take no naps) but
is up all night. All right, I'm exaggerating, but not much! He goes to
bed(in his crib) around 7:30 or 8 and comes to bed with me when...

OT infant ringworm by

Anybody had their kid get this? 3.5 month old Meg has several spots of
it -- if so did you do anything other than use an antifungal cream (wait it
out, garlic, etc) and how did that turn out?
