Thought I'd send a friendly FYI to those who are considering cord blood
banking. One of the private banks has a new program which will allow
you to save the cord blood at no cost. Here's the URL:

Not great but not disastrous by
Engram
Had a consult with the anaesthetist (anesthesiologist for those in the US)
to see whether, should I request one, an epidural would be available to me.
The short answer was "not really". The long answer is a little bit more
involved.
I have a spinal prolapse affecting a bunch of the vertebral...

Jessica's hips by
lucy-lu
Hi all
I've not read or posted much lately, tbh I can't really face spending
ages downloading the odd threads that are going on from the
contraversial cross-posts. My posts are also arriving in a funny order,
so I think I might not be getting all the proper posts. Anyway, I hope
you guys are...

Woohoo, baby dropped! by
Andrea Phillips
Thank goodness! I was in the bath lying on my stomach and trying to
practice relaxation techniques for the big day, and felt some wiggling
going on (though nothing unusual for this one.) Then when I got out, I
noticed my belly had moved decidedly down, and the baby-pressure is now
wayyyy down low...

When did you go into labor after last Brethane pill by
cheyjohn
My daughter takes her last pill this evening and I am curious about
when others have had labor start after their last Brethane pill. (Or
other meds that stopped contractions) I do realize she could be
different than others, as she already has done alot backwards! lol
Just curious though. ...

Do bones get weaker during pregnancy?? by
xkatx
Hm?
In your average, uneventful pregnancy, do bones get I dunno... More brittle?
Weaker? Something like that?
Today I had an extra baby to deal with. My girl friend dropped her baby off
first thing in the morning before she went to work (was her second day back
at work after her mat leave)...

HCG Has Gone Up!!!!! by
soconfused123
Good Morning Everyone!!!
I have great news! I had another blood test yesterday, and the doctor
called saying that my HCG level had doubled. She thinks that either I
am earlier than we thought, or I just need the extra progesterone to
help support the pregnancy! She did say if I had anymore...

Hi there,
I just joined this group. I have 4 children, the youngest is my 9 week
old diaper. I saw that some people had been discussing cloth diapers. I
used cloth on my oldest, and now use them on my baby. They are
wonderfull, and since I already do laundry, i figure, why not diapers
too? Anyways,...

Short Cycle? by
[email protected]
Ever since I stopped taking birth control pills two years ago, my
cycles have been getting shorter and shorter. First it was 23 days,
now it is every two week. What could be causing this? I am going to
the doctor next week, but I wanted to get some information before hand.

Breast feeding occurs -- world does not end! by
Terry J. Wood
I was briefly at an event in the "textile world" this weekend (yes, I do
wear a disguise when in the land of the textiles, so as not to be
recognized as a naturist) when what did I spy but a young woman with a
newborn.
During the event (a dinner) the baby began crying. The young mom...
