heard my first negative bfing comment! by
[email protected]
A little background: DH was taking care of DS last week and took him
by Grandma and Grandpa's house for a bit. DS was cranky because it
was approaching bedtime but wouldn't fall asleep for his father
because he usually goes to sleep after a bath, stories, and a long
nursing session.
So yesterday...

Hale's look up please by
Lora R
Hello,
My 7 week old son and I have thrush! One of the things I was
prescribed was a cream for my nipples called Ketoconazole Cream, 2%.
I think that's the generic name, the brand name is Nizoral. I looked
it up on Google Groups, and found that one person's doctor said it
wasn't to be used...

eczema, again by
Irrational Number
I've cut out the dairy (except I didn't realize that
apple pie crust contained it, so I stopped that today),
but after Pillbug's bath tonight, he got completely
red all over his body. I think it's caused by the
bath soap that we'd been using all along, but how
come he's suddenly allergic to...

When will this chewing end?? (X-posted) by
ted
My 8.5 months old dd chews, licks, gnaws everything. I can only clean
so much. I know this day and age everything has chemicals in it. I'm
worried that this habit will harm her. She's been chewing everything
since she was 3 months old. When will this end? Does this indicate a
problem? We are...

allergic to breastmilk????? by
Plissken
I was talking to a friend and she said that her SIL has a very colicky baby
(3.5 months) and hasn't been getting much sleep at all. Her SIL was
breastfeeding and recently decided to switch to formula. Well, as soon as
she switched to formula her DS has not been crying and is sleeping much
better....

Gee I love my pediatrician by
Karen
Ben had his 2 month WBV today. He is 24 1/2 inches long and 11 lbs,
that puts him at 78th %ile for height and 17th for weight-he started
out at 7-10 and 20.5 inches. He is long and lean. That is exactly
what she said. Not "gee he is kind of small", not 'you should think
about supplementing"...

What an adorable story!
Reminds me (in a backwards way) of how William used to call cow's milk "cow ba"
(ba being his word for nursing).

gas issue by
Stephanie and Tim
My dd has had 2 incedents of painful gas. (I know it was gas because the
pain ceased after car rattling toots!) I wonder if I ate something, but I
cannot think of the culprit. How much before the gas incedent should I be
looking?
Thanks

Can it vary? He used to have one each time I fed him, now he has 2 maybe 3 a
day(@ 11 days old)
Does thin mean he's not getting enough milk?
I know I'm paranoid, I wish I had glass boobs.

types of cereal? by
Vijay
Hi. I recently started my 6 month old DD on rice cereal. Just a few
spoonfuls once a day to start getting her used to sitting in the high
chair and eating from a spoon. She seems to like it.
My husband is getting a little overexcited that she is "eating solids"
now (it's really a total of 1-2...

I have hurt my back (I think picking up my 27 lb angel!) and went to the dr.
today who says it's either a pulled muscle, trapped nerve or a disc that's
slipped! Could've figured that out myself...but anyway. I have Hales and
it says that the Vicodin she has prescribed me is L3. However she did...

predictable range.
DD (8.5 mo) is nursing only at nights these days.
I've been having erratic periods with cycles ranging from 20-30 days
for 4 months now. Some of...

Multivitamin Drops (Polivisol) by
Kathy
Yesterday was dd's 2 month WBV (actually she was 9 weeks, 1 day old
yesterday). Her doctor gave us a prescription for multivitamin
drops...Polyvisol with iron.
A few questions...
Are multivitamin drops really necessary? DD is exclusively breastfed.
Does anyone know if these drops contain...
