Behavioral change by
ChitaShines
I'm a bit concerned. Normally my 6 week old takes quite a few naps during
the day, but usually has an active period where she's quite alert and awake.
She also normally wakes herself up from her naps and cries to be fed. When
I put her down to sleep, she'll usually lay there with her eyes open...

Babysitter help by
Angela Schepers
Ok, so Quinn is 6 weeks old now and if possible I'd like to try and find
a job here soon, hopefully by the time he's 8-9 weeks old. But there is
a problem. I'm not sure that I'll be able to find a babysitter who will
be able to handle him. He's very demanding.
So far Quinn is sleeping around...

PING: JenRose re OPK and HPT tests by
yellowgirl
JenRose:
I'm a mostly-lurker ttc#1 but have read your web page and postings
with interest about how OPKs tested positive before HPTs. Is this
true across the board, so to speak, and with different brands? Are
the OPKs *supposed* to pick up hcg??? I am in the interminable 2ww,
and I took both a...

Middle name help by
Nic H
We're having some trouble coming up with a suitable middle name *sigh* we
are having a little bubba girl in August, and decided on Micaela. Spelling
it this way, because the Mikayla I knew as a kidback home got the nickname
"Kayla" and we both hate that.
I'm not into "traditional" type names at...

Formula Question for a friend/Enfamil Lipil by
Jill
I have a friend who is not planning to breastfeed (currently is pregnant
with her first baby). She was asking me questions about formula, and I know
very little about it and can't be of help to her. ALL I could advise her was
that: I have always heard to start out with cow's milk-based formula...

SSA has 2003 names list up by
Irene
Some of you may remember a name discussion back in January, where
Babycenter had listed the most popular names for 2003, according to
parents Favorites lists.
http://channels.netscape.com/ns/news/package.jsp?name=fte/babynames/babynames
The link still works, btw.
Anyhow, I'm not sure why, but I...

Sleeping all night already? by
ChitaShines
My baby girl is only 3 mos old (a little over 1 mo old gestation age). Last
night she slept from 8 pm to 5 am. Is that unusual for her to have slept
that many hours without waking up to be fed?

Overeating? by
Angela Schepers
I'm confused on how much to feed Quinn. He's now 6 weeks and yesterday
he had a feeding of 5 oz, and then 6 oz, and another 5 oz three hours
apart, and he didn't even spit up very much. I think he would have
taken even more if I had let him. Is it normal for a 6 week old baby to
eat so much? I...

cleaning baby's butt? by
zolw
Hi;
I read that people use the wipes for cleaning baby's butt. Also in the
infant care class we took, the nurse explained how to clean using wipes.
I always thought that the best way of cleaning baby's butt is to go to
the sink & use plenty & plenty of water, towel dry it & then use the
diapers....

Migraine - THIS IS A NIGHTMARE by
Zaz
I'm on hour 23 of a terrible migraine. This is where I realise that being
pregnant is sometimes not FUN. I cannot take anything but Tylenol to ease
the pain, and of course it does absolutely nothing. I spend the whole day
yesterday hiding in a dark room trying not to scream my lungs out, and...

Stimulate your baby's curiosity and cognitive development by
Kumi
Wouldn't it be great if you could help your baby explore her new world
and stimulate her development during her favorite routine activities?
Your baby learns about her new environment by observing people and
things around her…and her most favorite thing to look at is, of
course, YOU. When you...

I guess I might as well announce this officially (was posted in "Oh

don't post here too regularly. I'm Nadene (33 yrs) and I've been hanging
around here since 2002 when I was pregnant with my DD Maddy (now 13.5
months). Like I...
