My poor breasts by
Gosia Stankiewicz
Hello,
I'm five months pregnant now and as every mother-to-be I've read all the
books about what's gonna happend to me during those nine months. Everybody
knows that increasing breasts are one of the earlier pregnancy syndroms. But
in my case it was quite different. I hadn't significant signs so...

blood in poop by
K.B.
My son is going on 3 months this week. He has blood in his poop. I was told
he was sensitive to the dairy I'm eating. I drink soy milk and I don't have
yogurt. I do have some cheese and other things like sour cream. Has anyone
else had this problem. I wonder if something else can be wrong. It's...

Introduction by
Catheleijne Berck
Hi all,
I've been reading this newsgroup for a while now, but since I have now
'officially' promoted from m.k.p. to m.k.b., I thought i'd say Hi :-)
A lot of names are familiar from m.k.p. anyway, and some of you might
know me too.
Anyway, I'm Cath, I'm Dutch and live in the south of the...

Made it to 1 year!! by
Michelle Podnar
DD is a year old today! She is still about 95% exclusively BF, since she
has little interest in food. We have no plans to quit anytime soon. We
both love BF. I am so glad that I didn't give up in the early days (I had
lots of problem with poor latch, thrush etc..). I think there were 3...

friend's comment by
Rosie
A friend of mine, who is pg, said to me at the weekend, "You are the only
person I know who ever has anything positive to say about breastfeeding!"
I thought, that's so sad! All the mothers we know (including our own!) and
I'm the ONLY person that this pregnant woman knows who is encouraging her...

Planning to formula feed by
Lauren
Just interested in opinions here on the point of planning to formula feed
even before a baby is born (or perhaps even conceived).
Unplanned pregnancies and exceptional circumstances aside, I can't help but
wonder that if it is too much trouble for a parent to even plan to attempt
to breastfeed (or...

One year anniversary (a little late) by
Anne Robotti
I don't know if anybody remembers me, but I posted here quite a bit
when I was pregnant with Victoria. I was only able to nurse my other
two children for a combined total of four months, and I was determined
to breastfeed Victoria.
I got some excellent input from people here, but what helped me...

Portable freezers? by

I have never heard of a portable "freezer" . Refrigerator, sure. This
looked pretty neat. I saw an ad for it last time I was flying, in the
skymall catalog.

My cousin stopped breastfeeding her 5 month old daughter :o( Not a reason in
the world except her pediatrician said it was ok to stop if she wanted
to.(doesn't mean it's right imo) She was a sahm with tons of relatives to
take the baby whenever she wanted, never had a problem with...

realsimple article by

Someone on another of my newsgroups posted this link, and urged anyone as
outraged as she was to write a letter of protest to the editor. I figured
some of you might be interested too.
It seems that Real Simple magazine has an article titled "20 rules to break
now" about making your life simpler....

Ow by
Spanannie
With the appropriate latch, your DD should not be biting you...except, I
find that around times when my DS is cutting a tooth, he'll be more prone to
bite when starting or ending a nursing session; it's always temporary,
though.
DS has 10 teeth now, and I have survived a nip here and there. It...

I've been absent for a while (stopped pumping regularly), but am
preparing to possibly return to work for atleast a month (August or
September). I've been home with my twins nearly full time; they get
pumped milk when I'm away from the house occasionally (1-2 times a

nursing on meds by

I have epilepsy and am on Tegretol. I have 4 kids but I didn't breastfeed
any of my children except for my youngest. I didn't do enough research at
the time and all the Dr.'s and nurses at the hospitals discouraged me from
nursing. When my 3 year old was born he was in ICU. They still...
