Alimentum / Pregestimil experience ? by
Parker T.
Hi,
Our 2 weeks old son is experiencing what appears to be some sort of
digestive problem related to milk formula. He cannot be brestfed for
a number of reasons, and we initially gave him Good Start formula.
However, around 1 week of age, he started to show some difficulty when
getting his milk. ...

Avent Isis, Pumping, Bottle Feeding Questions by
Kathy
Hi--
I have a few questions about pumping with my Avent Isis and occasionally
feeding by bottle...
My daughter is 23 days old today. I am a stay at home Mom and am
exclusively breastfeeding, which is going well.
I would like to be able to pump and freeze a small stash of breastmilk,
which would...

Hi I'm New and need some advice please by
shaz
Hi
I've been recommended this group from some ladies on the pregnancy newsgroup
and hope I can get some advice.
My daughter was born last thursday so is a week old today.
Whilst in hospital she was given doner milk by syringe initially as I am
diabetic and she was having some low blood sugars.

Going out... by
AlenasMom
Does anyone go out without their babies for dinner or something like that?
How do you work it with exclusive breastfeeding? How can I leave her with a
babysitter and still go out to dinner?
Does it work? I can't imagine doing it right now.
DH wants to go out to dinner, just us (we haven't had alone...

Zoloft by
Mogget
I give in, it's time to take antidepressants. Before I do, I just
wanted to check here that Zoloft is the best one for bf. I am in the
UK, does anyone know if it has the same name here please?
Thanks.

breast milk is amazing stuff by
teapot
I am a bit slow on the uptake! I've only just realised what amazing
stuff breastmilk is. Moo boy is glowing with health and looks more
and more like a beach ball every day, all that just from milk. It's
so worth the stressful times.
I am proud of both of us!

2-month WBV by
[email protected]
My poor little guy got his first set of shots today - two in each leg. He
handled it like a trooper though. He smiled at the nurses and the doctor
and was a real charmer. He cried during the shots and I nursed him as soon
as she was done. He ate for about 10 minutes with a few little screams
thrown...

eating strike by
Sara
Ollie's given up on solids. He'll nibble on the occasional bit of rice
cake or rye cracker, and that's it. He's not interested even in
Oatios, good Lord!
We've been slow introducing foods because of a family history of
allergies, but there had been many he liked. This past week -- pffft.
He cries...

redness on breast by
Irrational Number
I have what looks like an early bruise
on the outside of my left breast, except
it's not a bruise because it's looked like
that for 2 days now. It's reddish purple
and hurts kind of like a welt. There is
a slight bump.
I don't have any clogged ducts, I don't
think. Any idea what this could be? ...

Need sources on gestational diabetes and bf immediately after labor by
jjmoreta
I have gestational diabetes and I'm looking for sources on the effect that
bf-ing immediately after birth has on a baby's sugar levels, especially on
babies born to GD mothers. The only citation I have is from Henci Goer, but
I'm looking for more. I'm hoping that maybe some of y'all have run...

3 week old baby unable to latch - help! by
Cathy
Hi, The subject is a bit misleading - I am after help for my SIL. Her baby
was born 3 weeks ago, full term but only 4 lb 10oz. The baby was little,
mum's breasts were big, and the baby just couldn't latch. Baby is now 6 lb
1oz (on expressed milk - she's getting the good stuff all right, but...

dairy problems or just a fussy baby? by
Molly Ging
How do you know if dairy is causing a problem with your baby? I see that a
lot of people post here about it causing problems with their DD/S's and I am
curious what prompted people to figure out that was the problem?
DS has been very fussy lately and I think it is just a phase but how do I
know? ...

biting/kissing - also posted on mkp by
Nicola B
Hi there - My DS is almost 14 months old and I have what might be an odd
problem. He is learning to kiss, but he doesn't understand the mechanics of
it, and he bites me. He has left teeth marks on my face frequently and I
think last night he bruised my cheek because I am very sore this morning!...

Bottle problems *sigh* by
[email protected]
Well, I'm going back to work in 4 weeks. I'm pumping like a champ, but DS
won't take a bottle. We started introducing it a couple times a week at 4
weeks. He did drink almost 2 ounces from a bottle once, but he seems to
totally reject it now. He'll play with the nipple in his mouth, but...

The latest problem by
Vijay
Hi.
For those of you who have been following my breastfeeding problems, I
am still supplementing with formula. I had hoped to have DD back to
the breast by now, but at 4.5 months she has developed some weird
habits that are making it nearly impossible to nurse her. I've been
trying and trying but...

Hi there,
I've been looking for an approprate froum to post to and thought I'd try
