Belated introduction (a bit long) by Judy King
I've introduced myself before and posted a few times lately but I thought a more official hi was in order. I am breastfeeding number two who was born last week on the seventh. He was a big boy (10lb 2oz) but I had an easy birth and recovery has been a dream. Breastfeeding has come very naturally...

What's your opinion of Weissbluth? by Melissa
I've been reading it (DD is still having sleeping problems) and he seems to make sense, but many of you have read more and have more experience than I do. What I've liked about him so far is that he offers multiple solutions based on one's ability/desire to let the child cry. He also doesn't...

faster-flow nipples? by Irrational Number
Pillbug has been using size 0 (newborn, slowest) Avent nipples when the nanny gives him bottled EBM. Is there any reason for him to go up to a faster-flowing nipple? He's now almost 5 months and he's nursing very quickly with me, 10 minutes maximum on both sides. There is no nipple confusion nor...

wellbutrin by Sharon
Anyone here try wellbutrin while nursing? The literature with the prescription says it is excreted in breastmilk and blah blah adverse effects to the baby. I'm nervous about this! Anyone? Bueller? Keh

FF medela bm bags by [email protected]
Having a clearout and found an opened pack of medela bm bags - 16 out of 20 still left unused along with tie-twists. I use the Avent storage tubs so don't need them. They are free to anyone who wants them. Cheers Jeni

Caterpillar's 6mo wbv by Phoebe & Allyson
Caterpillar is well. She weighs 16 pounds, 14 ounces (7.7kg), is 28.5" tall (72cm), and has a 43.5cm head. Her weight has dropped to the 50th percentile (from 75th), but she's still off the charts for height and 75th percentile for head. What a tall skinny girl we have. :) After 2.5 weeks with...

what does a plugged duct feel like? by oregonchick
I have this excruciating pain in my right breast. Not the whole breast hurts, but one area in kind of a line from top to nipple. It almost feels like an intense engorged pain, and all night it throbbed. It's agony! But I don't feel a hard lump or anything to indicate a clog. I'm pumping...

Papaw Ointment by Fiona
I have just bought Papaw ointment for my cracked nipples, and was wondering if this needs to be wiped off before feeding again. I have tried breast milk on my nipples and it hasn't seemed to work. They both are very cracked but not bleeding. Any help much appreciated. Thanks Fiona

HELP! 9mo doesn't like formula by CY
Perhaps you read more into my post than I meant. I didn't mean to "beat her up". I just assumed that since it was posted to a bf'ing group that she was still bf'ing to some extent and wondered why the OP was trying to give formula. That's all. I had no other advice to give as my DD wouldn't...

OT-unhappy baby when being babysat by All4meUC
(Try saying that subject header 5 times fast :) I'm a SAHM and to top that off I'm single. Needless to say DS (5 months) is very attached to mommy and hasn't had anyone else care for him regularly. I'm concerned because eventually I will have to return to school/work, although I'd like to try and...
