How to wake a sleeping baby (OT) by
Stephanie and Tim
1. Attempt to take a nap.
2. Attempt to take a shower.
3. Attempt to spend some alone time with her big brother.
Here is the secret that no one has told new parents. If you do not WANT your
child to sleep, she is 75% more likely to stay asleep.
Boy I am tired and dirty! :)

the saga goes on by
Anne Rogers
My physiotherapist has discharged me, not because I am better or on the
mend, but because I am too bad for him to do anything. I'm frustrated by
this as basically I've only had one dip, as in my muscle function had always
improved even if only slightly since the previous appointment, until...

My 7 monts old son refuses the bottle by
Maja
Hi!
I have a 7 month old son, who started refusing bottle 7 days ago.
He is more than happy to breast feed.
I tried using the sippy cup, and it worked a couple of times with
freshly expressed milk.
I noticed that my milk from fridge seem to have a very strong smell.
Is that usual?
Is it possible...

Bf'ing News Tidbit by
jennifer
Saw a blurb on CNN this morning that a record number of women are now
breastfeeding past the age of 6 months.
Still, 30% of women never even attempt to breastfeed their babe.

Renewed admiration for DH by
Kerry D
Hi everyone -
DD (11 months - almost made it to 1 year!) got her first nasty cold
over the weekend. Her poor nose has been plugged up something awful,
and while she's finally got the hang of breathing through her mouth
while she's awake, the nights have been most awful. Aside from just
feeling...

Does this sound like yeast? by
Cheri Stryker
Baby Harry had a great suck his first few hours, but then was so sleepy
we got a bit sidetracked. His latch was poor, I got very sore, he ended
up getting quite dehydrated, so we supplemented for a few days until my
milk came in. About day 4, we cut out the formula except for when my
nipples hurt...

3 minute feeds? by
Linda
I posted not long ago that I was concerned whether my now 5 1/2 week old
daughter was getting enough milk having 10 minute feeds. Well she now
averages 3 or 4 minutes, it's very exciting if she feeds for as long as 9
minutes. She seems to cluster feed in the evenings, about every hour or...

swollen nipple still by
Anne Rogers
I kept deciding it was bad and I would go to the doctors, then it would feel
a little better and I'd decide not to, in the end I finally decided to go
this evening, as I wasn't sure if I could wait 'til Monday and we have plans
for tomorrow. Conclusion, no idea, baby hasn't bitten, or had a bad...

short naps by
ktuerk
OK, not exactly a breastfeeding question, but my 3 month old DD is
nursed on demand, we cosleep, etc. This child will not nap for more
than 35 minutes. Sometimes a bit longer in the snugli if we are out
for a walk. This applies under all circumstances (snugli, sling,
laying with her, putting her...

Pumping 101 by
Karen
I don't NEED to pump, I'm not going back to work or anything but I'd
like to build up a bit of a freezer stash for some future time
out...someday...maybe:-). I've never been particularly successful at
pumping but it seems that this time by breasts are giving it up much
easier this time around than...
