Jeannie
Hello,
This is our first time looking to hire an Au-pair. There are so many
Au-Pair agencies on the Internet. Any recommendations on whic is the
best agency (cost and reputation) to use?

potty training question - kinda long by
Stephanie Stowe
Hi. My son is 3.5 (well 3.48..). He has been wearing pull ups for a really
long time. He will pee on the potty when we do a song and dance to get him
excited. (I am going to beat you. You can't beat me...) We got this bit from
my MIL. All along, people have been telling us, leave him in pullups....

please advise... by
javalearner
A few people have suggested we try to get our son on the cover of a
kids
magazine or Parents or to get him in T.V adds. Now I'm not too keen
about the idea, and I am sure there must be thousands of kids that
have the same attributes and chances of getting on the cover. I am not
too keen about...

post about children's diet and being low on green things by
Stephanie Stowe
I have tried everything to widen my son's acceptance of good stuff. No dice.
He will chose not to eat rather than eat something he "does not like"
(having never tried it). We are planting a veggie garden this year. I am
HOPING. I know I have brought this up before... I do not think anyone is
likely...

Question: mothers day gifts? by
ghostwriter
Hello all,
Picture this, first mothers day with 11 month old baby. I have just
gotten back to work after being laid off so money is tight. I am
looking for good ideas of something relativly inexpensive to make, or
do for my wife. Dinner and backrub are already on the plan but
something small...

Diaper SPotting: UPDATE (x-posted) by
Drop45
I spoke to the ped. and he said if i see it again in more diaper sto come in
tomorrow but he doubts it's UTI or bladder infection. He thinks it's
crystalized urine. When i heard that I remembered someone posting recently
about "brick dust"
so - hopefully that is all
Thanks for your input -

picture-book recommendations by
Sara
My 18 month-old loves looking for Goldbug in "Cars and Trucks and
Things That Go," and the mouse in "Goodnight Moon." Any suggestions
for other picture books with objects repeated on every page? We tried
a Waldo book, but it's too advanced -- too many almost Waldos.

Poop Problem in Infant (long) by
GoofeeGyrl
DD is 7.5 months old. Last Thursday night, she started to get a bit fussy and
did not sleep well. By Friday morning, she had a bit of a temp and greenish
diarreah. The temp was gone by the evening (100-102 on ear thermometer which I
know is not too accurate on infants) and I was giving her...

kids' b-day parties by
toypup
Am I right to assume that b-day parties for 1 yo include the parents? DS is
invited to an indoor play gym for a 1 yo b-day party. The gym is only open
for that party and it's a rather small place. Sort of like the McDonald's
type play equipment with a puppet theater, dressup area, music area. I...

Au-pair without agency? by
Jeannie
Is it possible to hire an Au-Pair without going through an Au-Pair
agency? I noticed the fees they charge for the service are really
high. I rather see the money given to the Au-Pair herself.
If so, where do I start?

In My Masculist Utopia... by
Fair For All
....
The individual boy child gets his revenge against the chivalrous
society of humans.
1. A man gets into more trouble for abusing boys than for abusing
girls
2. If a girl hits a boy, he may do anything he wants to her in
retribution. If he complains, she gets hellishly condemned by society.
