OT - Potty training - can it be child-led? (xpost) by Cathy Weeks
Hi all, My daughter is almost two, and all of a sudden has started asking to sit on the potty. She prefers to do it fully clothed, and while one of her parents are sitting on the toilet, but I figured it was time to start reading up on the topic. My guess is that she's still a bit young for this...

UTI on Macrobid while TTC question amended (M/c mentioned) by Laurie
Sorry,I forgot the important part: the drug I'm taking is Macrobid. Hi ladies, I am currently TTC, and I have a bladder infection! I'm on cycle day 7, with 5 days of the antibiotic left to go which means I'll be BDing while still taking this medication and possibly (hopefully!?) conceiving with...

OMG... CPC??? by Shena Delian O'Brien
OK so my dr. called me up and said I needed to go to a different clinic and get another ultrasound. I just had my 20 week and they all told me the baby seemed perfect and everything. It lasted a half hour and we found out we were having a boy. Everything seemed great except he wouldn't flip over to...

Heart Palpitations by KD
Anyone else get heart palpitations while preg? This is my third preg and I've had them will all 3 pregs. Doctor doesn't seem concerned, but I've never heard of anyone else having them. I only get them when pregnant and generally only while lying down on my left side, which makes sleeping tough...

my non-appt with the OB by pcb
Yesterday I had what I thought was to be an appt with the OB. At least that's what the letter from the hospital (NHS) said. Plus, when the appt was made I was told it had to be on a Thurs. because that was the only day he saw patients. When I first got there I saw a midwife who took a urine...

Burger King To Allow Breast-Feeding by Cheryl S.
"Allow"? I'm sorry, but LOL. It's not up to them to allow or disallow breastfeeding (it's already a legal right). I'm not sure I care for them acting like it's only OK because they now have a "policy", rather than it being OK just because it IS, and always was. Though I am glad to hear they're...

Finally seems real!! by Cam & Shane
I put on my jeans yesterday (as my lived in track pants were not quite clean enough to be seen in public) and they were about 2 inches from doing up!! I only had them on a couple of weeks ago. I have only put on 1 kilo in the last 3.5 months. I was getting quite disappointed that I wasn't...

Update - child-led potty training by Cathy Weeks
Well.... Kivi went pee and poop on the potty. Ever since last weekend, when she asked for the potty, the only encouragement I gave was "hey, Kivi, I'm going to the bathroom, do you want to go with me?" She would sit on the potty, usually fully clothed, but at bathtime, with a bare bottom. Once...

version worked! by Liz S. Reynolds
Honeybun has "assumed the position" :*) My dr really pulled for me, the 2 drs at the hospital didn't want to make the attempt - one doesn't do them at all any more and the other doesn't do them on vbac patients, but he talked her into trying. When she checked us out, she said she thought...

how to get government support by Jerry
My wife is pregnant. It is great, however, we couldn't afford those expensive examination and delivery costs. I heard that we could file for support at hospitals and get support from government. Does anyone know how to do it and where to find detailed information? Thank you in advance.

lump in breast by Kathy
I had a baby about 3 months ago. I tried to breastfeed but it didn't work out for the baby or me. It has been about 2 months since I stopped. This morning I noticed a lump in my breast that I don't believe was there before. Is it possible that it could be related to breast feeding and a clogged...
