6th lumbar vertebrae by
Toni
Hello,
Anyone know if this could be a problem during birth? I went to a
chiropractor last summer for pain in my lower back and he told me I had
a 6th lumbar vertebrae, (I guess meaning 2 tailbones) and he said it
could cause more pain during pregnancy for some and my doctor tells me
not to worry....

Baby names - recommendation engine? by
[email protected]
Does such a thing as a recommendation engine for baby names exist? I'm
trawling for baby name websites, and not finding such a thing (although
I now know that the technique I'm looking for is called a
"recommendation engine" ;-).
I'm imagining a website along the lines of many movie and...

Expired Evening Primrose Oil Capsules by
Bryna
I'm planning on starting to take evening primrose oil at the end of
this week when I hit 36 weeks. I just noticed that my bottle from last
pregnancy expired in August. For those who know about such things --
does that mean they *really* expired, or that they'll expire six months
after that, or...

Sad story by
Plissken
A woman who lives just outside of my town recently had a home birth and lost
her baby. I feel so sad for her but unfortunately she made some really bad
decisions.
She had a c-section with her first pregnancy and her Doc informed her that
this second baby was breech. For some reason she was...

reasons I've heard for not breastfeeding by
Shena Delian O'Brien
The mind boggles. I understand choosing not to breastfeed if you don't
have proper supply and can't get it, if your baby isn't thriving, or you
have to take medications to live which would go through the breastmilk
and harm the baby, etc... but some of the reasons I've heard lately just
floor...

20 week Ultrasound - stomach full of amniotic fluid by
[email protected]
I'm 20 weeks pregnant and recently have had 2 ultrasounds. During the
first US, the radiologist noticed that the baby's stomach was full and
asked me to come back to check it in a week. I went back a week later
and the stomach was still full of amniotic fluid. She booked me in
for another US...

A soapy taste by
Engram
I have had a weird soap-like taste in my mouth all day. At first I thought
there was something wrong with the water at work but it hasn't gone away
since I left work 5 hours ago. Eating dinner (chicken and veges), drinking
orange juice and pigging out on gummy bears have not helped. I'm fine to...

Tough decision - Elective C or not ? by
paul williams
Wifes now 36 weeks but baby is measuring up to 40 weeks already so it
looks very large.
Consultant has given us the choice :-
1. Elective C-section at 39 weeks.
2. Induce at 40 weeks.
Option 1 seems OK but consultant highlighted the risks involved with
any C-section.

Are chiropractors physicians? by
Todd Gastaldo
Currently, Americas MDs are NOT behaving as physicians.
Americas MDs are behaving as CRIMINALS, senselessly closing birth canals and
gruesomely manipulating most babies' spines - among other obvious crimes...

Previous c-section linked with increased risk of stillbirth by
Ericka Kammerer
Add this to another reason to try to limit
unnecessary primary c-sections--apparently, a previous
c-section increases the risk of stillbirth in
subsequent pregnancies. Fortunately, while the
increase is statistically significant, it is not huge
(this study found an increase from 0.5 per 1000...

In case you were circumcised and don't agree with your parents'
decision to have a go at you with sharp instruments (talk about social

penis that would get someone locked away for a lloooong time), you may

Eventually we consulted with an ob, who talked to many other people,
pretty much all recommended c-section, our own thoughts were also

Can babies get Roseola more than once? by
sher
Last July, my son had Roseola - at least that's what the doctor
diagnosed over the phone without ever seeing him. It looks like he
has it again. The symptoms have been the same - high fever and
irritibility for a day, then a red spotty rash that pops out after the
fever breaks. The rash is...
