UTI while TTC question (m/c mentioned) by
Laurie
Hi ladies,
I am currently TTC, and I have a bladder infection! I'm on cycle day
7, with 5 days of the antibiotic left to go which means I'll be BDing
while still taking this medication and possibly (hopefully!?)
conceiving with the drug still in my system.
My regular OB/GYN is out of town and I...

Baby came - thanks for your help (VBAC,BH's,early baby) by
Ollie
Thank you all for your help with my VBAC,bh,cavity etc questions. I had the
baby 3 weeks early on Sunday, John weighed in at 6 lbs 5 oz. - 19 inches. I
had a VBAC. I had demarol and epidural (wimp). It took 7-8hrs of painful
contractions to go from 0 cm to 10, then about 1.5 hours of pushing. ...

Saw the heartbeat! and first visit by
Sunshine
Well, we had a very exciting first visit with the doctor. DH went with me,
we did the usual weigh in, blood pressure check and then she did a pap which
she says she does with every first prenatal visit. Because she thought we
were further along than the LMP would inidicate, she ordered a...

Morning sickness! by
Jill
I'm 3.5 months now. I felt like crap last week but started Vitamin B6 and
seem to have been feeling better- instead of sick all the time every day, I
get sick about once a day. But today I am feeling worse and sick
again......I threw up in the grocery store parking lot, narrowly missing
someone's...

....GIRL! So saith the ultrasound technicians, anyway, and this time
they sounded quite sure. I am thrilled. I would've been thrilled if
they had announced a boy too, it just makes her so much more real to
me to know which she is.
All looked fine and healthy, which is the really important...

subchorionic hemorrhage by
Nancy P
Has anyone else had this? I'm wondering, since I stopped bleeding last
week, does that mean that the clot is gone, or do I still have it and its
just not bleeding anymore? (Obviously, I'm going to ask my midwife but I'm
not going to bother her with a special phonecall because regardless, I'm...

questions to all those who have had home births - ever have any regrets? by
Abi
Hi all,
just some quick questions for all those who have given birth at home:
- did you regret it? There must be some people out there who didn't
have a good time of it.
- what did you do about pain relief? Was your method/s effective?
- Assuming you didn't have drugs for pain relief, how bad...

store brand formula (x-posted) by
ted
I'm supplementing my baby with formula while bfing at nights. I was
wondering if there's any difference between the branded
(Enfamil, similac etc) and the store brand (Kirkland @ Costco). DH and
I compared the ingredients listed on the tin. The quantities are
exactly the same.
Anyways, there's a 30%...

Due date after 20 week hospital sonogram was moved from 12/1 to 11/27, now
doctor says that his 8 week sono, the one that showed 12/1, is more
accurate...I know it's only a few days difference but it seems muuuuuuch closer
psychologically when I think it's Thanksgiving Day. For all I know it could...

Feta cheese? by
Jill
I thought I heard someone mention this is bad for you while pregnant? I am
in the u.s., and am wondering if it is ok to eat a greek salad from the
grocery store deli which has feta cheese on it. It doesn't have much, but it
has maybe an ounce....

I'm So Excited! by

I just had to share how thrilled I am (AGAIN) that I am actually having a

Being a first-time mom at 40 is a surprise. I hope it isn't bad luck to be
dreaming and buying baby clothes.
I'm just so overwhelmed by hope and delight.
I have received my first package of baby stuff purchased on...
