OT we won't be moving to Seattle by
Anne Rogers
DH finally found out he didn't get the job, he didn't seem too upset and I'm
quite relieved, I think we both feel we're not quite ready for such a big
move. The person he was in contact with had put some odd wording in her
email, which makes him think that he was a near miss and that there may...

Anonymama
I'll be nine weeks along tomorrow, and I already feel huge. My clothes
barely fit. At this rate I'll be in those hideous jeans with the pouch
by October. Bah!

I opted out by
Nikki
I decided to opt out of the early screening tests. Since I already know I
won't have the amnio and since I'm advanced maternal age (ha!) I just felt
like the screenings would probably come back as high risk no matter what so
I'd just skip the anxiety. :-)
This is a new doc for me. To her credit...

Insurance Challenge: Changing Obstetric Care after 6 Months of Pregnancy by
helari
My HMO will not allow me to change my obstetric care since I am beyond
my 6th month of pregnancy. It is due to their "global billing" process
that occurs with one bill that covers all prenatal care and delivery
sent by the ob/gyn to insurance after delivery. This is a money issue
and all I have...

critical screening tests during pregnancy? by
oregonchick
My medical provider is an HMO, and recently they had a major flood occur at
my clinic when a large pipe ruptured. Ever since then, I have had to be
seen in whichever clinic they had available, all over the Portland metro
area.
Because of this I feel very lost in the shuffle. I am 26 weeks...

Arrival of the twins! by
Ilse Witch
Saturday August 13th saw the birth of two new world citizens: DD and DS2.
Since DD was not lying in full breech and the membranes had ruptured, they
arrived by c-section. They both weighed in at just above 3kg. My recovery
is progressing well, DS2 is nursing like a champ, but needs...

Big Baby Story by
Jodi
(sorry if this posts more than once, my ISP is going crazy!)
Sometimes I get scared that if I ever get pregnant, I'll have to run into
the woods to have my baby!
I was visiting a mom from my church that just had her 2nd baby. When he
came out he was somewhere around 11 lb. (which, I admit, is...
