will this ever get comfortable? by
Joy Haftel
Hi, some of you may remember me. I posted here a few years ago when ds was
a baby.
Dd was born 11/26 and latched on right away. Her latch felt shallow and the
maternity nurse told me to do the "nipple sandwich" thing and walked away.
I decided this was normal newborn stuff and didn't worry too...

OT-Trip to National Aquarium in Baltimore by
All4meUC
Good morning! Just thought I would share a story about my 5 month son's first
real trip! We went to the National Aquarium and Baltimore, Maryland yesterday.
The drive there was peaceful, as he slept the entire 2 1/2 hour trip. He was
well rested and ready for adventure :) I was amazed at how...

CTTS (my brother) by
Em
Last weekend I was lying down on my parents bed nursing DS for his nap and
my brother came in to see what we were doing. Big, lumbering, fairly
obnoxious, 16 year old, 6 feet tall brother. He looked at us and said, "oh,
he's having nursies."
I found it rather sweet/funny and hope he is learning...

Out of control appetite by
laurie
This can't possibly still be from BF at 9 months, can it? My appetite is
seriously out of control. I eat everything in sight. I feel hungry a lot, but
I admit, I'm just eating because I want to a lot of the time. I think it has a
lot to do with stress, I've probably gained 10 lbs since I moved 3...

Help for mom w/ PPD? by
Phoebe & Allyson
I was at a client's workplace today (he's a client of ours and we're a
client of his), and asked in passing how his wife was doing, and spent the
next half hour hearing that she was not well. So I'm going to call her to
see if we can get together this week, but I need some suggestions for...

Question about a broken tooth by
Jim's wife
One of my molars broke apart and I am having dentist take care of it
(crown/root canal) in a week or two. But right now it is chipped and the
big silver filling is exposed. Once in a while I can feel another piece of
tooth chipping away. Hole getting bigger. There is a funny taste in...

Rhythm Method question (x-posted mkp/mkb) by
CY
I am breastfeeding my almost 2 yr old daughter (though, obviously, by now
she's not exclusively bf'd) and I have a quick question for those of you who
are more familiar with the Rhythm Method of Birth Control than I probably
am!
AFAIK, you can conceive for only 72 hours per month. Usually around...

FAO Beth ? soy milk question by
AskeyKO
Joey has been using soy formula for the past few months and is now exclusively
formula fed. I'm just not making any milk anymore. He's 10 mo old and neither
my husband nor I have a history of any food allergies. Is it ok to offer him
sips of soy milk as an alternative beverage, just as I might...

J's 4 month check up by
Cheryl S.
It was actually 2.5 weeks ago but I'm just getting around to posting
about it. This one went much better than the last one, which had me
furious. I just answered their checklist of questions succintly and
didn't offer any opinions. Jaden is still at 75% and 90% for weight and
height,...

you realise how into breastfeeding you are when you do certain things:
i was moving DS's golden books from a shelf in his room to our bookcase and
we were reading a few first.
most of them were DH's from when he was little (30yrs ago) so i knew all the
pics of babies feeding would be with...

nighttime is a nightmare by

What is going on? Does teething get worse overnight? DS is taking decent
naps during the day(2 naps about 2 hours total--he used to take no naps) but
is up all night. All right, I'm exaggerating, but not much! He goes to
bed(in his crib) around 7:30 or 8 and comes to bed with me when...

nursing pad recs? by

I used them last time with DS but they didn't breathe and I think they made
my yeast infections worse, so I stopped using them, but I really needed
something. I leaked a lot last time, so I'm looking for something for after
this pg. I think cotton ones would breathe better than those...

OT--potty strike, help! by
Dragon
Our DS turned 4 in December and has been on a potty strike since
September. He was doing really well--telling me he had to go pee and
then doing it in the toilet. This was if he was hanging around the
house without pants. If I put clothes on him, he would pee his pants
as if he thought he had a...

Reasons for menses early return? by

Last month when my period showed up exactly a month after delivery, you all
allayed my fears and told me this was no indication that my milk supply was not
sufficient. My doctor agreed and based on my son's weight gain and the loads
I've been pumping with my wonderful new Avent Isis :) I believe...
