FAO: Ericka by PattyMomVA
I've just heard from a friend in your area who is 36 weeks pregnant and her baby is breech. Can you e-mail me and tell me what OB performed your external version? You said he's highly recommended, right? Also, I've not had luck with the gentlebirth URL for exercises to turn the baby. Can...

Hello all, I have been an avid watcher of this news group and thought it time to post my first message. My wife is 13.5 weeks pregnant with our first. We have just come back from our 12 week scan and everything is going really well! The midwife even commented on how active the little one was! I...

Thanks to all of you for replying to my post yesterday. After speaking to my wife about it this evening and reading your posts I have decided to wait for the next scan. Sue, answering your question about us having another scan. The last scan was a dating scan (my wife didn't know the date of the...

Wife's bump goes hard and soft? Any info!? by Paul Morris
Hello all, I'm an avid reader of this newsgroup but don'tpost very often. My wife is 16 wks 2 days and her bump seems to be hard (most of the time) but after things like eating it will go soft for about 20 minutes and back again! I thought it would be one or the other. Is this normal?

Hi All, Sorry this is so long but I really need to talk to someone with some experience! I broke up with my girlfriend about a month ago. Infact in the two years we spent together we broke up about every two weeks! Yesterday she phoned me to tell me she is pregnant,

Glucose intolerance test by paul williams
My wife had a glucose intolernace test a few weeks ago and the result came back negative. However, because the baby is looking large for dates, the doctor has sent her for another one (the same 2 hr test). Just wondering - how accurate is the test in the first instance ? Is there a possibility...

Tough decision - Elective C or not ? by paul williams
Wifes now 36 weeks but baby is measuring up to 40 weeks already so it looks very large. Consultant has given us the choice :- 1. Elective C-section at 39 weeks. 2. Induce at 40 weeks. Option 1 seems OK but consultant highlighted the risks involved with any C-section.

New Baby - Dad not as excited as he thought by paul williams
Hi, Before the recent birth of my first child 5 days ago I expected to very happy and very proud etc... However, I'm not that excited. In fact, I'm very stressed and just see the negative side of the all the hard work involved. I'm feeling very guilty about this indeed. Is this normal? My wife...

Taking Evening Primrose Oil - didn't know I was pg. by Paula
Hi, I am new hear and am looking for a little reassurance. I was taking EPO to help regulate PMS for about 2 weeks when I learned I am pregnant. Since the news has sunk in, I began to get nervous about the EPO. As soon as the test came back positive, I stopped taking EPO. Do I need to be...

Problems Babyproofing Oven Door by Paula
My 13 month old is so strong, he can almost get the oven door open. He can also break off those cheap, plastic safety first stove locks that go on the side of your stove. I've seen some with suction cups and a belt like clip that is supposed to hold the door closed, but I am not sure my stove has...

Flying While PG with Toddler & Umbrella Stroller by Paula
I will be flying with my 2 year old son, my hubby and my big belly in the winter (I'll only be about 24 weeks, so it shouldn't be too bad). Since PG women cannot really lift/carry much, I was thinking I would push my ds in a stroller while my dh carries all the carry-on bags. We're bringing the...

Why are new cars missing car seat LATCH for rear middle seat???? by Paula
Hi - just wondering if anyone out there has a vehicle with the car seat LATCH in the middle seat? Seems like a lot of the auto manufacturers included a tether hook for the middle seat, but only put the LATCH anchors on the side seats. I think this is ridiculous!!!! Isn't it common knowledge that...

Pregnancy and ocd by Paula
I suffer from ocd which at the present time I am handling without meds. Now, I am 18+wks with my second child and have been experiencing a huge upswing in my ocd symptoms in the last three days. Has anyone else noticed any dramatic mood swings at this point in their pregnancies ocd or no? Up to...

Child Seats - Where is your Tether Hook in your SUV/Wagon???? by Paula
Okay you SUV/Wagon owners - I need your help! Forward-facing car seats need to be attached to a tether hook in the car (and I think it's law up here in Canada). Most sedans have them in the little shelf behind the rear seats - but where do they put them in SUVs/Wagons where they still work well...

fibroids or something else? by Paula
I am just about 15 weeks pregnant and was told that I have two fibroids - the same as when I was pg. with DS. Just like the first time, they are on top of the uterus - near belly button area - or so I thought. The past couple of nights I have felt what I think are the fibroids much lower - one...
