Red veins on eyelids? by
Jill
Just curious...since birth, Rachel has had red veins on her eyelids. The
doctors have never mentioned them so they must be normal. I've not been
arund many newborns and have never paid attention....is this common? When
does it go away? I looked closely today and it's just red veins, all over
her...

At 3:22 am mom & son by
nancy
Mom and I had made good time on our drive from Silicon Valley to
the Sierra, and had arrived at the secluded campground just on
the California side of Lake Tahoe with plenty of daylight left.
Our tent was up and our sleeping bags were rolled out, our
cooking gear and our food supplies were squared...

symptoms disappeared after/around implantation by
P B
Hi,
We are on TTC#1 and I was having the usual symptoms after ovulation,
e.g, lot of body ache, breast soreness, feeling feverish(but no fever)
and cramping(after ovulation and around implantation). This continued
till CD24 when I felt a strong cramp for a couple of hours. On
CD25-CD26, all the...

Expired Evening Primrose Oil Capsules by
Bryna
I'm planning on starting to take evening primrose oil at the end of
this week when I hit 36 weeks. I just noticed that my bottle from last
pregnancy expired in August. For those who know about such things --
does that mean they *really* expired, or that they'll expire six months
after that, or...

A soapy taste by
Engram
I have had a weird soap-like taste in my mouth all day. At first I thought
there was something wrong with the water at work but it hasn't gone away
since I left work 5 hours ago. Eating dinner (chicken and veges), drinking
orange juice and pigging out on gummy bears have not helped. I'm fine to...

How do uncircumcised men get laid? by
karen hill
There is all this talk about the foreskin being a harbinger of disease
with the studies to back it up. Who are these women who sleep with
these uncut guys? Uncut penises are so gross, that if I had not read
the studies, I would assume all uncut guys are chaste STD free
virgins! Frankly, an...

Can babies get Roseola more than once? by
sher
Last July, my son had Roseola - at least that's what the doctor
diagnosed over the phone without ever seeing him. It looks like he
has it again. The symptoms have been the same - high fever and
irritibility for a day, then a red spotty rash that pops out after the
fever breaks. The rash is...

Pedicures/Calf Massage...total no-no? by
Zucca4
My lamaze teacher/labor nurse advised no calf massage at all during
pregnancy...something about the blood being heavier during pregnancy and
collecting in the lower body and massage unearthing a clot that could travel to
the lungs and.....you know the rest. I ran it by my doctor and he...

Baby names and NO idea by
beyond the pale
I don't have the time to dwell on this pregnancy like I did with #1 and it's
really obvious. I had names picked out the first week and all this shopping
to do and started working on the nursery. This time around, I figure we'll
wait until about 8.5 months and throw something together if we even...

date that was calculted. My doctor told me the baby was measuring at 20
weeks and 5 days. Everything was normal, i.e. his limbs, spine, brain and
heart. My quad...

20 week Ultrasound - stomach full of amniotic fluid by
[email protected]
I'm 20 weeks pregnant and recently have had 2 ultrasounds. During the
first US, the radiologist noticed that the baby's stomach was full and
asked me to come back to check it in a week. I went back a week later
and the stomach was still full of amniotic fluid. She booked me in
for another US...

Foreskin Restoration; O-ring Method by
Buster
In case you were circumcised and don't agree with your parents'
decision to have a go at you with sharp instruments (talk about social
blind spots--think of all the milder forms of diddling with a boy's
penis that would get someone locked away for a lloooong time), you may
be interested to know...

Why do parents keep doing this? by
Lyle Benson
I'm a teen-ager and since the moment I found out what happened to me I
felt angry about it. Once I found what goes on during the procedure
and what is lost, I felt sick.
I know I was robbed of something special, and I'll never know what sex
is really supposed to feel like.
Why the hell do parents...

Cephalohematoma, is this something to worry about? by
concerned
I asked several nurses in the hospital and also our brand new
pediatrician about a soft squishy area on my newbord daughter's head.
They all assured me that it is a Cephalohematoma and nothing to worry
about. I asked again at the 5 day checkup at the pediatrican's office
and again 'it will go...

Baby names - recommendation engine? by

Does such a thing as a recommendation engine for baby names exist? I'm
trawling for baby name websites, and not finding such a thing (although
I now know that the technique I'm looking for is called a
"recommendation engine" ;-).
I'm imagining a website along the lines of many movie and...

6th lumbar vertebrae by
Toni
Hello,
Anyone know if this could be a problem during birth? I went to a
chiropractor last summer for pain in my lower back and he told me I had
a 6th lumbar vertebrae, (I guess meaning 2 tailbones) and he said it
could cause more pain during pregnancy for some and my doctor tells me
not to worry....

Possible to test for x or y sperm? by

Hi - is it possible to test sperm, from a sample given, for percentage
of x or y chromosomes? Semen analysis check for sperm count and quality
etc, but can a check for the number of X as opposed to Y chromosomes be
done? We have 3 girls and want to know if we have any likelihood of
having a boy...
