Cosleeper that I want by
Stephanie
Hi. I saw a cosleeper online that I want:
http://www.babybunk.com/
I like this better than the Arm's Reach one. It is smaller. And it
will not cost anything, since I will just have my handy dandy DH make
it. :)
I do not anticipate using it for very long. Anyone ever used this? I
like the idea of...

Antibiotic Properties by
Lucy
I know that breastmilk has antibiotic properties and it got me wondering.
You hear so much about how the body becomes resistant to antibiotics if you
use them too often - something that I've certainly noticed with my dog who
has recurrent staph infections and is always getting put on a course...

EBM during day by
shelby
First, I hope that the date is right on this message this time and if it
isn't I am so sorry, I can't figure out how to change it.
Aden won't take a bottle of ebm while I am at work and I don't know what to
do. He was taking a bottle fine until tuesday when I started work, and the
last two days...

Bf benefits after first year? by
Naomi Pardue
Subject really says it all - what are the benefits of bf after the first
year?
Pretty much all the same as they are during the first year.
Breastmilk is a highly nutritious food for toddler. (Though, after the first
year, it is usually no longer adequate as a sole source of...

Another Baby Carrier & Sling Question by
JoAnna
Hi there all!
We are going to take the kiddos to A Day Out With Thomas and I would prefer
to wear the little one (she'll be 2 months when we go) rather than bring a
stroller (can't take one on the train ride) . I don't know if I will be
proficient enough at using my Maya Wrap sling by then, i...

random bfing questions by

1. In a fairly established bfing routine (say, 6 months), how long can
the mom go without nursing or pumping before she runs out of milk?
In my case the question was: how long can I go without feeling
like I will explode? That would be around 4-5 hours at that
stage. Longer when DS...

baby rolling over question by
ted
My 5 month old (on 6th yayyy!!!) DD has mastered the art of rolling
over. If I place her on a mat on the carpet, she'll rollover and then
doesn't know what to do. She tries to drag herself but there's just
too much resistance on the carpet so she cries. I know this is all
natural process of...

breakthrough bleeding and breastfeeding by
Naomi Pardue
This time Kamron has totally diff feeding patterns, and am wondering is the
spotting a sign of fertility?
I have not ever had spotting while breastfeeding before.
8 weeks is really early for periods to return in a nursing mother, but it is
certainly possible. (Esp. since, IIRC, you are not...

Taking my own advice. by
Chotii
So, I'm having real problems with this one breast - plugged duct by day 3,
mastitis by day for, blood blisters on the end of the nipple, scabbing, and
pain *all* *the* *time*, plus nursing is excrutiating. So I've got Soothies
on my nipples, per instructions of the ICBLCs at the hospital, and...

Introduction and a question by

Hi all!
My name is Tanja, I'm 31 and I have been lurking here for about three
years. I have two kids, DD who is 4,5 and DS who is 11 weeks. I bfed
DD for only 3 months (unfortunately), but am determined to reach at
least 1 year mark with DS. Thanks to all the info and wisdom I got
here at mkb, I...

OK, so here's the story. (a bit long - sorry)
Gave birth by csection (after a 20 hour labor - ugh!!) 19 days ago. At
first, DD was a great nurser but by day three when my milk wasn't
coming in, we had to go to finger feeding as she was losing too much
weight. Took me almost 8 days for my milk to...

Sickness and nursing by

For reasons too complicated to go into, there are 3
drippy-nosed, coughing kids living in our house. My sore

Hale's Lookup? by

Thanks very much!
After posting this, I spoke with the radiologist and despite it being okayed
by the AAP and despite Motherrisk stating it's safe, she won't do the MRI
until I've weaned the wee one.
Just as well, me thinks :)
Thanks for your trouble!
