CTTS x-posted to mkp and mkb by
A&G&K
DD came with us to the OB office yesterday, and we showed her the baby on
the u/s screen.
I told her there was a baby in Mummy's tummy and that was a picture of the
baby ... thinking that she'd have no idea what I was talking about.
This morning DH and I were congratulating ourselves that baby...

CTTS (my brother) by
Em
Last weekend I was lying down on my parents bed nursing DS for his nap and
my brother came in to see what we were doing. Big, lumbering, fairly
obnoxious, 16 year old, 6 feet tall brother. He looked at us and said, "oh,
he's having nursies."
I found it rather sweet/funny and hope he is learning...

CTTS/D by

DD is chatty and noisy by nature.....she immitates me to no end and the
latest is "yum, yum" for any food she sees just because I started doing that
every time I was preparing her food.....
So this morning we were doing our morning routine (morning meal, play, watch
Dora - a must here - then...

CTTS/D: by
New York Jen
Laszlo did something really cute today. We were rough housing and he was
hitting me in the face (not the cute part, but not hitting me hard
either)...and I said, "Nice Mommy" so he made nice on my face. Then I said,
"Are you going to make nice on Baby Lily when she comes?" - he usually has
no...

CTTS: Too many stories by
Larry McMahan
Obviously, I've been telling my kids too many fairy stories
with trolls in them.
The other day Monika was crossing the San Mateo bridge with
the kids. Since there were three of them in the care, she
did not have to pay the toll. As soon as Niel saw they were
going around, and not through the...

CTTS: "Allergies" by
Emily
DS has had a bad cough, and the other day, after coughing,
he said "I have allergies" -- not because he does, but because
that's what Mike Wazowski says just *before* coughing in a
scene in Monsters, Inc, which DS just loves.
Tonight at dinner, he was saying "Purple monsters have...

CTTS: from Parents magazine, actually! by
JennP
This is from the "Out of the Mouth of Babes" column that runs at the back of
the magazine.
"My three year old daughter, Emily, likes to point out water towers when
we're in the car. Recently, we drove by one and she asked what the building
next to it was. I told her it was a nursing home. She...

CTTS: Naming my breasts! by
Lina
On Sunday we have a family tradition, newly started, of lounging in bed.
Well, yesterday, Alena got hungry and started saying Booba. Then she'd tap
my breast and make the sign for nursing.
Then she did it again a few hours later.
Now she'll look at me and say Booba and then want to eat!
I can't...

CTTS: Sesame Street by
CY
DD and I were sitting watching Sesame Street and "Super Grover" was having
cape trouble, ultimately resulting in him falling from the sky. MY DD is
suitably sad for Grover. Afterwards, as Maria is giving him a comforting
motherly hug, she looks at Grover and says "Milk Na-Na" (boobie juice,...

Cups of...? by
xkatx
Just wondering.
DD2 is now 6 months old. Still nursing strong, still strongly refusing EBM (given up on that a long while back) and still not really interested in any food, other than a boob.
We have given her a bit of the rice cereal, but it's not a regular thing, and it's only at night if I find...

cute email sent to me by
Karen
Name seven advantages of mothers milk.
The student in question had also partied the night before, and was hard put
to think of 7 advantages.
He wrote:
1. It is a perfect formula for the child.
2. It provides immunity against several diseases.
3. It is always available as needed.
