What to do in delivery room? by
midunjen
OK, I know the obvious answer to this is: Birth A Baby! But I'm
actually looking out for my best friend, who is due to deliver her
first baby in just about a week (she's hoping to be late but that's
another story!) So, me trying to be the dutiful friend and thinking of
stuff that I could bring to...

February due dates (posted Nov '04) by
Sarah Vaughan
(With many thanks to Mary S., original author!)
Into the second half of pregnancy! So it's all swiftly downhill from
here, eh? :) How's everyone feeling? Is your body telling you to start
slowing down, taking it a little easier? How is sleeping going -- lots
of pillows stuck into every nook? ...

10 day old infant - treating congestion by
Kevin
Hey all,
Matthew seems all congested. You can hear him breathing and he doesn't seem
to want to feed as much. There's nothing visibly blocking his nostrils but
he just sounds really congested.
We are trying the "steam treatment" in the shower right now, hopefully it
helps.
Any advice will be...

OMG!! Sleep!! by
JennP
Ok, after Matthew the non-sleeper I guess I earned my stripes and now my
time is due. Jessica has slept for stretches of *6.5* hours at a time *in
the bassinet* for the past two nights. She's never had a night time stretch
less than 3 hours! I'm knocking on wood as I type this and will enjoy...

Congestion and spitting up by
JennP
Just trying to figure out if Jessica is going to be a power puker or if it's
related to her cold. Yes, it's a cold and not just newborn congestion. Her
nose is actually dripping and it's going around the house.
Since she started with the cold Friday, she has spit up *volumes* of her
milk a few...

With my DS I felt like I'd won the lottery and was over the moon and =
smiling the full 9 months, with DD it was slightly different but I felt =
content and happy.

33 week BPP by
Donna Metler
Almost 34, based on the U/S due date (which everyone BUT the perinatal
center is using).
Everything looks good. The blood pressure is slowly climbing, but there's no
signs that its affecting the baby or the placenta, so we should be able to
hang on a bit longer-hopefully, another 4 weeks or so....

Midwives notation by

My appointment yesterday was with my 2nd midwife, who I met for the first
time. She was surprised at how low the baby is (her comment was that one
good sneeze will let it out!). I hastened to reassure her that DD was
carried low too, and didn't arrive early. I'm intrigued by what she wrote

Low Blood Pressure in Early Pregnancy by
Lucy
Hi Everyone,
I'm only 6 weeks pregnant, and already have a concern. Today I started
feeling very light-headed, so I went and took my blood pressure (we have a
machine at work). It read 90/56.
Isn't it more common to have high blood pressure during pregnancy? Has
anyone else experienced the...

I have been having the same type of dream VERY frequently about a male

friends for a few years in my late teens/early 20's. We never dated and
never...
