After pregancy Cold Chills by
farhan
Wife is been having cold chills after the pregancy (gave birth to baby
7 days ago). is this normal? what's causing it? she suddenly gets
very cold, is it because of low/hight blood pressure or excess
bleeding. does that make any sense? did anybody have such issues
after giving birth?

Go Jenrose! (Great news for pregnant women!) by
Todd Gastaldo
GO JENROSE! (Jennifer Rosenberg)
GREAT NEWS FOR WOMEN FROM JENROSE!
Jennifer indicates that midwifery and doula organizations have publicly
demanded that OBs stop closing birth canals. THIS IS HOT!
(Hopefully, the midwifery and doula organization public demands included the
fact that OBs KEEP...

Insomnia by
Zaz
Oh gosh.
I went to bed around 10 PM, but I just can't sleep. I've had contractions
again today, many (oh so many) during my 40 minutes walk, and then more
until 7 PM, after which they receded and eventually disappeared entirely. I
still don't have any, although I am having much vaginal...

Once more how do you guys do it? (vent) by
zolw
Once more I have reached the end of my patience! I have to vent or I
will lose it!
I mean I love Sina with all of my heart, but she has an attitude! I
mean, how can a child so young (not even 3 months old) have an attitude
already? Everything in my life goes her way or else she cries!
First of...

Away for awhile by
Leslie
Lest anyone think I'm off having a baby or something :-p I thought I'd let you
know that I don't expect to be on the computer much after this afternoon until
Monday. My best friend from college is coming all the way from Minnesota to
spend a few days here and pamper me. :-) She was planning to...

Baby 'dropping'? by
Cathy
Hi, I am now about 34 1/2 weeks, and I'm sure the baby has dropped. I
thought this didn't happen till much later in a 2nd pregnancy, if at all.
My clothes are fitting differently, and I'm getting shooting pains in the
inside leg muscles from where the nice wee thing is sitting on nerves! I
know...

Talk Me Out of It by
Leslie
I know that if I asked, I could be induced any time. Now you all know, and I
know, that I don't really want to do that. But I am SO miserable.
I can't sleep at night about half the time due to discomfort and panic attacks.
I am so tired I can't do anything useful all day. I am depressed and...

November due dates by
Sarah Vaughan
(With many thanks to Mary S., original author!)
How are all the almost-almost-theres? :) Knee-deep in childbirth
classes? Waking up a zillion times at night, have to pee more often?
Take some video of those alien-baby-earthquake kicks and tumbles, if you
can catch them. Any belly hiccups? ...

How long to wait after miscarriage? by
Ilse Witch
Whenever you're emotionally ready determines how long you wait. Physically
there is no reason to wait, although many doctors recommend waiting at
least one period. The only reason for that is so they can date the
pregnancy better. OTOH, emotionally it can be better to wait the sometimes
recommended...

Do you have to use "baby" detergent? by
Nan
On Sun, 31 Oct 2004 17:02:27 -0600, "Donna Metler"
scribbled:
I put Ivory snow on the shopping list, since I have a lot of baby clothes
from different sources to wash, and my husband was shocked at how expensive
it was. Is it really any different from the dye...

bleeding issues by
Vicky Bilaniuk
OK, this is getting ridiculous. It will be 9 weeks tomorrow and I'm
still bleeding. I haven't bled continuously, but it's pretty darn close
to that. The approximate course of events:
- lots of bright red bleeding the first few days
- tapered off to darker red and this lasted for several days
-...

Playtex drop ins problem by
brian
I was wondering if anyone was having this problem and maybe had a
reason and solution. I am usng the disposable drops ins, and the flow
of formula out of the nipple is fine at the beginning of feeding, but
after awhile, the formula no longer flows out of the nipple freely. I
think this may affect...

he just nurses.
I don't see any need to push him to eat, but alot of people are asking me

Bank cord blood or add to college fund? by
Zen Cohen
Now that I know donating our cord blood is not an option, I'm reconsidering
banking it privately. I rejected the idea at first because it didn't seem
the cost was worth it in view of the small likelihood we'll need it.
(Neither of us have a history of blood disease, cancer, etc in the family
and...

BP update etc. by
Leslie
I dropped by Kroger again yesterday evening and my readings ranged from
155/89 (first one) to 142/82 (last one). Bottom numbers were all in
the 80s (4 readings).
I am still very swollen, very tired.
I called the nurse line and left a message with my symptoms. I didn't
get any frantic phone...
