My blood count is up by
Daye
Hello all...
Well, we are getting really close to the end of my pregnancy. In
fact, my c-section is next week.
I have had my last prenatal appointment. Everything is going well.
BP is normal, and my urine is clean. YAY!!! No signs of
pre-eclampsia!!! (For those who don't know, I had severe...

Losing weight again, argh! by
Jill
argh.....argh......argh.......my weight had started to creep up since
December 18 and I had put on 6 pounds and seemed to be holding on to them
steadily. That still put me a few pounds under my prepregnancy weight, but
it was relaxing....I have had a cold for a few days and have had no choice
but...

Nail polish and pregnancy by
Sophie
I've always assumed it's safe as long as the polish is toluene-free. Has
info changed about wearing nail polish while pregnant?
Thanks :)

fertility treatment with donor eggs by
Jimbo
My wife and I want to try for a baby using donor eggs. We are both in
our early 40s, and we have left it too late to have children without
assistance. We are British, but live in Hong Kong, so we are probably
looking at coming to the US for help.
We are both overwhelmed with the number of...

Re-Introduction by
New York Jen
Hi everyone!
I spent a lot of time here about 2 years ago when I was pregnant with my son
Laszlo (22 months old) and I spend a lot of time over on MKB, although he
weaned at 13 months.
I figured I'd wander back here and see who's around...
I'm currently almost 30 weeks pregnant with Lily Parker....

I got the flu! by
Coccinella
Hi everybody,
Today it's the first day I am coherent enough to look at the computer. I got
the flu! I cannot believe it! I spent three days in bed delirious with fever
that even Tylenol couldn't bring below 100. Yuk! On the positive side I
could feel the baby move quite a bit in bed. I think she...

Sudafed question by
Jill
Anyone know what the maximum daily dose of Sudafed that's safe for pregnancy
is? The sheet given to me by my doctor says 60mg, best not to take more than
3 times a day.
I do not take 60mg at one time usually, and with this nasty cold, it wears
off long before 8 hours. I don't feel comfortable...

pregnancy and asthma (and advair in particular) by
Vicky Bilaniuk
OK, I would love to know what you all think of pregnancy and asthma,
and, in particular, advair. When I talked to my doctor about pregnancy,
he never mentioned anything about the advair that I use, but I have
recently been wondering about it. I suffer from mild but persistent
side effects and...

7-month old sleepwear by
Lizajane
We have been putting our 7 1/2 month old to sleep in infant
long-sleeved pajamas with feet. When my dad babysat for us the
other night, he remarked that we did not have a blanket to put on
him at night. I thought we were not supposed to put blankets in the
crib for the first year, and he generally...

OT FAO Sophie - cookie shipping by
Cheryl S.
Sophie,
I remember a loooong time ago you mentioned how you packaged cookies to
send to Dylan in Japan so they arrived fresh and unbroken. How did you
do it? I'd like to send some to my nephew in the Army. Thanks.

Why Can't I Stop Eating So Much???
It's getting absolutely ridiculous! Since the time change, I haven't been
walking my 4 - 6 times per week. I've also started eating like mad!!!
Sweets, sweets and more sweets. It's horrible.
My measurements are now 43x41x43. The last time I checked, I had...

How low can you feel the baby at 20 weeks? by
Jill
Just wondering...I have not felt the fluttering I was feeling in a couple of
weeks, that I used to feel around my belly button and just below. For a
couple of days I have felt the fluttering VERY low, like where I think my
kidneys and ovaries are, and just above the pubic bone in the center....

Personalised baby gear by

Have any of you done this before??
I'm a graphic designer, and never even thought of making stuff for this
little one until today... I went shopping and bought a new pooh outfit, on
the outfit was a tag with the most gorgeous picture on there, so I scanned
it in at a high resolution and magnified...

a bit of a belated introduction by

I know that I never really introduced myself here, so maybe it's about
time that I did that. :-) Well, the story is pretty boring. ;-) I'm
a fairly private person and don't really like to reveal a *whole* lot
online, but here is what I usually do tell people...
We've been ttc for a little over...

Quercetin- what I found.... by
Jill
I have found a few statements saying to avoid quercetin during pregnancy, so
forget that idea! It does work well for me for nasal congestion,
surprisingly....after a week or two of taking it my nose doesn't stop up
anymore. But, not during pregnancy!! Does anyone know of herbs/supplements
that ARE...
