back to work - will probably turn out to be a vent by
PK
I'm due back at work tomorrow. Before E was born, i was quite sure I
wanted to go back to work, but now, I keep having second thoughts.
She will be taken care of by my Mom until June, and then will go to a
daycare. It's just, I didn't expect to feel so.. sad. I feel like I'm
neglecting my duty of...

UK NIP - Marks and Sparks by

I was waiting for a freind outside the lingere changing area todayin
Marks and Spencers, she took ages so I started to nurse Moo boy. An
assistant came over and I girded myself for the onslaught knowing that
M&S have a good breastffeing policy. She asked very politely if I was

Oh, we're not sleeping either by
Phoebe & Allyson
Actually, Caterpillar is sleeping fine. But in addition to
her two "root whimper nurse (all while asleep)" sessions,
she's had 3 or 4 crying thrashing fits every night for the
last few days. She doesn't wake up unless I wake her, and
the quick latch-on doesn't prevent thrashing or crying. ...

HELP! 9mo doesn't like formula by
CY
Assume you are talking about my post re the "nasty" thing. I honestly did
not mean to offend. I HAVE tasted formula and it not sweet like BM and
rather has the texture of Slimfast, which, IMO (after all that's what usenet
is all about) tastes nasty. I was not slamming, just wondering why...

my girlfriend and her girlfriend just had babies 4 days apart. they
plan to practice what she calls "bridging" -- breastfeeding each

My friend and neighbour was telling me today that she met an previous

couple of hours.
So she told her about how I was the same at the start but...

how many solids for an 8 1/2 month old? by
Poppy
*sigh* my Q is 'how little solids for an 8.5 month old? Pup just isn't
going in for this food lark atall. We're lucky if he takes one baby
teaspoon a day of anything. We try twice a day and have been doing so now
for 5 weeks - very trying. He is more enthusiastic in body language terms
of...

weight gain following weaning by
hbar
Hi,
I weaned my 26 month old, one month ago, and ever since I just keep on
putting on weight. My weight is normally very steady and I never
gained weight when I weaned my middle son at the age of 2. (I was
pregnant when I weaned my oldest). Does anyone have any ideas why I'm
gaining so much weight...

interesting 4-month wbv by
hobbes
I took DD to her 4 month WBV yesterday. She's doing great--95th percentile
all the way around (such a change after having a little boy who could barely
reach the charts), and no problems. But the amazing thing to me was that the
doctor didn't once mention starting solids. Didn't even come up. He...

Feeling inadequate: Can anyone help? by
Kathy
DD (almost 10 weeks old) is a beautiful, healthy baby. She eats very
well, is very smiley and happy, poops and pees as she should and is
growing mentally and physically. So the breastfeeding is working, and I
do feel great about that.
Our trouble area is the sleep department...we are a mess...

Grandmother Issue again by

Going back to my DD and MIL situation, I believe that MIL has clinical
depression, I am not a doctor by any means but the symptoms do match.
Could it be that DD is picking this up and that is why she does not
want to be with her? She suffers from Parkinson's Disease and this is
partially the...

Pain after the milk blister by
[email protected]
Hi,
About 1.5 - 2 weeks ago, I saw I had a milk blister on my right nipple.
I worked it out in the shower and it is long gone, however, that bb is
still just as sore.
I don't think its thrush, as the other bb doesn't have this issue and
no white spots in baby's mouth. I really don't think its...

persistent cough. When she left DD started coughing, but barely, and
