AF by
Karen
Hi guys
This might be TMI, but I still haven't gotten AF. I'm definitely not
pregnant. It will be two years in February. I'm only nursing twice a day
and have been for two months. Is this normal?
TIA
K

4 month check up by
Emily
Just took DS2 in for his four month check up. He
weighed 18lbs 15oz (and I actually hadn't fed him
for a couple of hours --- I'm pretty sure he would
have crossed 19lbs if I'd fed him first), and
was 26.5" long. That's 95th %ile for weight (down
from above the 97th) and 90th %ile for length...

Info on Vasoconstriction or Nippleblanching or Raynaulds Syndrom.... by
camandshane
Hi there
My friend is due soon with her second baby. With her first she had a
lot of problems breastfeeding. Her baby was 6 weeks early, she had a
c-section (he was breach and after 7 hours of labour she was still
2cm), he was taken away straight away and spent time in neo-nates so
she had to...

Re-Introduction & health by
Marvin L. Zinn
ALL,
I first came into this newsgroup a couple years ago
looking for help for a friend who was totally naive
about feeding her daughter and wasn't getting any
support from her family. That did not turn out so well,
but I kept reading a few messages here because I have a
general interest in natural...

good pumping at work by
Irrational Number
I've been pumping for two full weeks now and it's
going very well. I pump 5 times during the work
day for about 8 minutes each time. I've tried
longer, but I only get dribbles (if anything) after
the initial 8 minutes. I get between 19 and 24 oz
with this schedule, and since Pillbug eats 16-17...

Thanks to everyone My little girl is happy by
Nat
Hi everyone, I would all like to thank you for your help and advise. The
paediatrician end up putting my little girl in hospital to observe her and
to do some test to see why she was crying all the time. It turned out that
the problem was still reflux even though they had her on medication for...

"Lactation Rooms" by
[email protected]
Hey, I know I haven't been around in ages, but just wanted to pop in
with something I saw today.
I was at the student union and, while in the ladies room, noticed a
door leading off it labeled "Lactation Room." I was all ready to
bristle at the idea of needing a special room for breastfeeding...

Feeling the pain! by
xkatx
Not sure what's going on or what to do about it.
The last couple days, I feel like I'm ready to explode. It feels like DD2
just can't eat enough. She does, though, as she's feeding as she always
has. Her weight gain is fine. She's 11 weeks tomorrow. I'm feeling such
pain of being real full...

I did it - my baby is a banana-eater. by
[email protected]
DS had a little banana yesterday. I mushed it up, put him in his high
chair and DH gave him a little. He appeared to get tired of it quickly and
got a little fussy. It turned out that he just wanted out of the high
chair. After I got him out of the chair and on to my lap, he was lunging
at the...

I feel like a genius! by
V.
I was all set to write another "help me!" post because Madi is just not
taking to the bottle well and I start work in a couple weeks. We've tried
different brands of nipples, different people giving her the bottle, using
the car seat, etc. She would either just gnaw on the nipple and some...

CTTS/D: by
New York Jen
Laszlo did something really cute today. We were rough housing and he was
hitting me in the face (not the cute part, but not hitting me hard
either)...and I said, "Nice Mommy" so he made nice on my face. Then I said,
"Are you going to make nice on Baby Lily when she comes?" - he usually has
no...

Is it possible? by
Andrea
That after only 3 days of taking Zoloft I already feel so much better?
I took my kids to school this morning, and have managed some housework too!
I felt so depressed for so long, that I had forgotten how I used to feel.
The only side effects so far is a very dry mouth and a loss of appetite,...

Hello again (X-posted) by
Lina
We're back home, finally! We'd returned home on the 16th, but didn't have
an internet connection, then the monkey turned blue on me, and we were back
to the hospital.
She has reflux, and is now on two different medications. (Zantax and
Donperidone.) Breastfeeding is going great, and she's gaining...

I can't believe we did it! by
Jodie
It's official (sniff sniff). My baby is one today! Never in my wildest
dreams did I think we could have made it one year. But we did. And I
owe it, in part, to this group. You guys really have helped me through
some rough times.
While we are still going strong, if it all ended tomorrow, I...

Lorelei is Two! by
Leslie
Lorelei's second birthday was Friday. She was so excited about it!
The morning after she and I were talking about it and she said, "More
'gin!" (That's her way of saying More Again.)
She's about 32 lbs. and very tall--her 3T dresses are really too short
on her and everyone is always commenting on...

AF, ovulation and bfing by

While exclusively breastfeeding, is it possible to have a period
without ovulation? Is it possible to ovulate without a period? Can
anyone explain how?
I bled 4 weeks straight after delivery. I got periods on my 3rd and
4th months pp and then no period for two months. I don't know if those

Solo flight by
Dawn Lawson
DS did a solo "launch" today for the first time. I went out of the room
we were in, and suddenly wondered who was walking into the room.....DS!!
Until today, he's only walked if he was "launched" by holding the back
of his shirt and then letting go when he started off.
Today he's been walking all...

Dairy ?: is it possible? by
Brookben
My 11 month old has always shown sensitivities to dairy if I eat
something (by oversight) that has dairy in it. BUT, she ate something
with butter in it yesterday and seems perfectly fine. When I eat it,
she has trouble sleeping, gets a butt rash, and eczema - but nothing
happened when she ate...

sites with info for new moms on "stages" of BF infants? by
Dagny
Dear group,
About 2 weeks ago Meg found that thumb and since then she has been nursing
less often (she is 3.5 months now, was born at 40weeks + 10 days so maybe
she's like many four months olds, and about 16 pounds hwp). I'm guessing
this is just maturity -- she's making far fewer poos also and...

I Guess I never did tell my birth center story.... by
Nicole
Here goes at just shy of 35 weeks I went back into the hospital in pre-
term labor
At 36 weeks I began having contractions every day for a few hours a
day and I had dilated to 4 cm and about 80% effaced at week 37 things
continued until I was having contractions for about 10 hours a day,
then they...
