Changing name... not sure by
Zaz
Hello again (wow, I am an active poster these days - must be hormonal ;-) )
Since the very beginning DH and I had agreed on Catherine to name our coming
baby girl. However, in the past week, one name keeps popping up, and doesn't
seem to let me rest: Frédérique. I know in English it's mostly a...

EW on CD 8? by
Ellie F
Hi,
TTC for past nine months! Have read TCOYF from cover to cover. Charting
temps and fluid and I've started to notice a pattern of EW as early as CD8
but no temp rise until maybe CD14 or later, and fluid only creamy around
this time. Any ideas?!
Thanks in advance

Katy is 1 month old! by
Marion
Katy Jolie is four weeks old today! It doesn't seem possible. I
haven't weighed her since her 2 week appointment (at which she weighed
an ounce over her birthweight of 8lbs 2oz...), but she's acquiring cute
little fat rolls around her arms and legs and under her chin... a happy
breastfed baby. ...

Sleeping positions question by
Mum of Two
I know this has been asked before, but at what age can you stop worrying
about your baby's head shape and sleep them on their backs?
DD is four months old and since birth I've slept her on her side in a
'wedge' consisting of a long triangle (which goes behind her back) and a
short triangle (which...

Sophie-website question by
Kelly
Sophie (or anyone else)
How do you do your website with the pictures? I saw that at our photo place
where we take our digital chip in had an option to "print to webpage." What
do you do to update/add pictures to your site? I am very computer unsavvy
and not in the know........

Laughter IS the best medicine by
TDW
With my first pregnancy, the day before my due date I went to see the
movie "Jackass" in the theaters. I laughed so hard that I started
losing my mucus plug during the movie. Almost 24 hours later the
contractions started strong and regularly, and then my daughter was
safely born another 13 hours...

Strained - uterus? Muscle? ligament?. by
Zaz
I strained a ligament, or my uterus, or a muscle, or all of them, during my
sleep last night. It happened while I was turning around on my other side
(from right to left), without supporting my huge belly...
Right now, I can only turn on my back from my right side if I support my
belly with both...

Best time for PKU testing? by
Sarajoyo
Ericka, Elfanie, anyone else with sources/thoughts on this? When is
the most optimal time to have the PKU test done on a newborn? I know
it needs to be done after a certain amount of time so that the newborn
has had something in his/her system, but how about *optimal?* Our
midwives' letter says...

36 week (and 5 days) appointment by
Zaz
All right, it could *really* be anytime soon! And since I have been having
"evening contractions" in the past few days, it means that labour has in
fact already started, albeit very slowly. To my midwife, there is no *false*
labour: every part of it is real, including the early...
