Desc? by Kereru
Hello, I have just had a midwife visit and hse says my baby's head feels really low and has written 3/5 in the column in my notes headed "desc". Does this mean descent? And does that mean the baby is beginning to engage? I am confused because this is my second pregnancy and I was under...

BP update + other stuff :) by Kari
I guess my high BP reading was a fluke or something, because today it was 120/60. Im SO relieved. I think maybe if it wasn't a fluke, the lower reading has to do with the fact that I have spent every minute laying down on my left side, drinking lots of tea and resting the entire weekend - which is...

Too much activity in there, how to calm it down (delurking) by Mo
I am 28 weeks along and I get frequent Braxton Hicks. I had them with my first, so this is not a surprize. Is there something I can drink or eat other than all the water I am drinking already that will calm the uterus down? I get a few per hour and several per day. The baby is also very active...

I seem to be in labor..... by Karen
I had a few mild cx around 11 but still fell asleep. A contraction woke me around 1:30am and I've been up ever since. These feel like the real deal. They are erratic-coming at 4-10 minutes apart lasting 45-60 seconds or so. The farther apart the stronger they are, the close together ones are mild....

Signs of labor? by Kari
This is more for reassurance than an actual question, maybe wishful thinking but... The past few days I've been sick. Really nauseated, having really soft stools (I've been constipated almost this whole pregnancy up until the last few days) totally irritable with the kids. I swear I have to pee...

Anyone have a medication category book? by Karen P
I did something stupid. I am almost 7 weeks pregnant, and have a severe cold. I was miserable and took 50 mg Diphenhydramine HCI and 30 mg Pseudoephedrine. (Benadryl and Sinutab). Now I am reading about all kinds of birth defects (gastroschisis especially). Does anyone have one of those books...

Hello-- I'm Lila, due October 24. I mostly lurk but occasionally post. As the birth of my second child approaches, the thing I'm most apprehensive about (I'm only partly joking) a repeat of the hemorrhoids I had with DS. I never even pushed (I had a c/s for fetal distress) and I had terrible...
