An antibiotic question & others (very long!) by
Em
I am a regular poster at MKP and have been lurking over here as well during
my pregnancy. I now have a nine day old baby boy and I have a few questions
for you all!
First, I was put on Zithromax today due to a persistent cough that I've had
since before the baby was born and also because it...

she doesn't wet diaper at nights??? by
ted
What does it mean if the baby doesn't wet diaper much at nights? I
change her diaper before putting her to bed (9pm). I don't change her
at all until next morning. She nurses before going to bed and atleast
twice in sleep at night. We cosleep so most of the time we both are
asleep through...

Green and mucousy by
Alphawave
Another poop question! Hooray! ;-)
I've had this on my mind for quite awhile now, and because of the advice
in the "5 MORE new bf'er questions" thread, I finally just have to ask.
Larry and Barbara both said things to the effect that green and mucousy
poops shouldn't be standard for baby. When...

Anyone in Vermont? by
New York Jen
We're taking our annual road trip vacation to Woodstock, Vermont. Last year
we hit Woodstock, NY and Saratoga, so I guess we have some strange affinity
for Woodstocks? Not sure exactly, but DH read about it and a friend highly
recommended it, so it should be a lot of fun.
Just curious if any of...

When do you stop leaking? by
AlenasMom
Alena's almost 13 weeks old, and I'm still leaking all the time!
I'm getting to the point that I just don't care, and if I'm at home, I go
bra-less.
I've also been dealing with super-letdown lately. I don't know why really,
but what can I do to stop it? (It's bad enough to spray across the...

Motherwear by
Melissa
I got a Motherwear cataloge and the stuff looks nice. However, I haven't
been wearing nursing clothes and I'm wondering if any of you have and, if
so, whether you thought they were worth the money. On the one hand, the
clothes look pretty and my tummy will be covered when I nurse (good for the
few...

So, I'm approaching my one-year mark with my second nursling (!!!) and
while I am of course thrilled to have a healthy baby (almost toddler!)
with a healthy appetite and love of mama's milk, and I am thrilled to be
able to provide her with breastmilk as a source of nutrition and comfort,
I also...

[allergies] well it's official... by

Sara-anne wrote:
The wheat is a total surprise, since she's had some

IIRC, there's a high incidence of false-positives with the

effects" is more conclusive. You might talk to the
allergist about...

Is it possible to overfeed a 2 week old? by
Kathy
Late last night when I was nursing my daughter in bed we both fell
asleep...I was vaguely aware of her nursing on and off and when I woke
up an hour had gone by. She was fussing and acting hungry, so I gave
her the other breast.
An hour or so later she was fussing to be fed again, so I let...

good pumping at work by
Irrational Number
I've been pumping for two full weeks now and it's
going very well. I pump 5 times during the work
day for about 8 minutes each time. I've tried
longer, but I only get dribbles (if anything) after
the initial 8 minutes. I get between 19 and 24 oz
with this schedule, and since Pillbug eats 16-17...
