Breastfeeding and PPD by
Kereru
Hello, I'm just wondering if I am the only one out there who had PPD and
breastfeeding DIDN'T make it better. I have heard numerous times how it
helps PPD but for me I swear it made it worse.
I breastfed for ten weeks and the whole time felt like I had PMT, it was
awful. I reluctantly gave up...

Very Bad by

Hello everyone
This is where we a
Pumping at work is going horribly. Friday I managed to squeeze out two
ounces ... and that is it. I know that my breasts just aren't getting
enough stimulation to get my milk supply back up so after five months of
training him to sleep through the night I was...

One month in, and not fun yet by
Dan Kegel
We've been bf'ing (with sns assist) for a month now.
It's working ok; DS is gaining weight like crazy,
mom can pump 4 ounces easily in one quick sitting,
and baby is generally happy and not too colicky.
Problem is, mom isn't really enjoying it yet. Her
nipples are pretty sore from DS latching on...

Latch problem, need help by
CY
Many latch problems can be corrected if caught early enough. I urge you to
seek the help of a good IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation
Consultant) as often the ones that see you in the hospital are not
certified, not to mention that they are not all created equal. You can find
one in...

14 weeks hows it going? by
J,T&M
Olivia is 13 weeks and doing well!
She has a bit of a pattern to her sleeping now ... finally ;) She
sleeps the first stretch about 5.5-7 or so hours and then wakes every
2.5 to 3 hours after. We are usually in bed for about 12 hours all
told! She takes a great 3 hour nap a day and that is...

baby VERY uncomfortable by
ted
My 6 mo old DD is a very happy baby. She always smiles and even when
she's hungry, she just calls out, doesn't cry. Well.. all changed
yesterday. I gave her some avocado mashed up around 11am. She had it
once a month ago and loved it. She ate it well yesterday too. In the
evening I gave it again...

1 month well baby visit - I'm doing good! by
[email protected]
I took my little guy in to the doctor today for his one month well baby
visit. He was 7 lb, 8 oz at birth and 7 lb, 1 oz at discharge - now he's
11 lb, 12 oz! The doctor was really impressed. He joked and said that I
had the nursing mother record for the county! I just can't believe how big
he's...

Ouch! by
The Domestic Goddess
Ok, I am still nursing my 9 month old daughter (she will be 10 months
on the 20th) and recently, she had been having trouble gaining weight
so I upped her table food (She had been eating only things that I
thought she could handle, But she could handle alot more than I
thought with only 2 teeth)...

joining the club of working BFing mums by
Anne Rogers
I just got a job! 16 hours per week probably spread over 4 days, so 4
hours at a time. DS will probably need 2 bottles during that and
travelling time, but I'm hoping I won't need to pump at work, I'll
probably pump as soon as I get home and hopefully get 1 bottle worth and
continue my routine of...

OT Baby Equipment Comparison website sites required by
Mom2B
Does anyone know of links to sites on the internet that does comparisons of
baby equipment like pushchairs/strollers, slings, Cribs, baby mattresses
etc.
I'm pregnant with #1 and I'd like to buy a few good things that will last me
for baby number 1 (and possibly more babies if we enjoy the...

Everyone is asking the question.... by
Shannon G
"Are you STILL breastfeeding?", or "When are you going to wean?"
How do I approach this, and not start a confrontation, or be too rude.
The
true answer is, "I have absolutely no idea when I am going to wean". She
doesn't eat much solids now, so I feel that she needs the nutrition...

So I'd like to cut back, but the problem is,...

getting ready! by
Dagny
Hi guys! My pregancy is nearly 37 weeks along and I am starting to get
excited about birth. I do realize I probably have about four weeks to go
give or take a week, but knowing that it could be any time really is, well,
it's something.
My nipples now seem to protrude all the time -- as opposed...

Constipated BF Baby (I think) & Gas by
Wendy J.
Hi,
Dd has a bm approximately every week to every week and a half which I
know is perfectly normal for an exclusively bf baby. When she goes it
is what I would call "normal" (paste-like and fills the diaper...a
total blast!) :-)
However, the past few days she has had gas (which she normally gets...

Our Scariest Experience by
New York Jen
In order to enter our apartment, you open our front door and walk up a
flight of stairs...there are downstairs units and upstairs units here. I
came home quickly last Friday to let the dogs out and I let Laszlo sit on
the bottom stair like he has recently enjoyed doing. I slid the locks down
on...

Well I've made it successfully to 6 weeks which was my original goal and
don't intend stopping yet! I've had no negative pressure.......even my mum
has turned advocate! Lol!
Liam is thriving and will be going for his 6 week check up during the week
ahead.
I just wanted to say thanks at this stage...

Extended Breastfeeding by
JUBILEEEEE
The current WHO recommendation is to breastfeed your baby exclusively
for 6 months, continuing 2 years and "beyond"- when would you consider
the age to be too old?
