tonsils by
Marie
My daughter did have her tonsils and adenoids removed. It was much
worse on me than I thought it would be! Everything went well though
for my daughter, she was a trooper and never whined afterwards. I was
impressed with her, as I think I'd have whined a bit if I were hurting
so much. It's been 3...

Tonsil surgery by
Denise
Last Thursday, DD2 had her tonsils and adenoids taken out. I was somewhat
unprepared for the lengthy recovery period. Her doctor had prepared me to
expect a recovery similar to that of her ear tube surgery, and it was
scheduled so quickly that I didn't research it too much. However, it is...

toileting trouble with my daughter by
Billy the hermit
My daughter is almost 4 and has been potty trained for a year and a half. At
night, however, she sleeps in pull-ups. She has never kept her pull-up dry
except when sleeping at grandma's house. Twice now I've taken her pull-up
"privileges" away because I have seen her put them on and then...

toilet training phase 2 by
[email protected]
DD (2.5 yo) is regularly wearing big girl underwear and staying dry.
She's still scared of pooping in the potty but as far as peeing goes,
she's got it. In the daycare she's wearing underwear even during naps.
At night time I put a diaper on her because that's a 10 hour stretch.
I don't know what...

toilet training issues by
annie
My son potty trained in less than a day shortly before he turned 3. He
just decided he was ready one day and he's been doing great for two
months now. However, he was just "potty" trained. We have been
unable to get him to poop in the toilet. We've tried having him go
naked and it worked great...

toilet training by

We thought we had at long last toilet trained our three and a half year
old but all seems to have fallen apart. He first learned to pee in the
toilet (standing up) before starting nursery school (around two and
three quarters). Then to poo in the toilet for a short while - maybe
four weeks. Then he...

Toilet mishap update by

My son is fine. We are from New Orleans, and currently are visiting someone
in Belgium.
My mom is a nurse and I phoned her back home, and she asked the docor making
rounds for advice.
Since my son was able to urinate but was just scared, that was one. Since I
was able to examine him and saw it...

toe walking and braces by
S_S
My son is 7 and has always walked on his toes. He had been seen twice
by an orthopedic Dr. and once by a neurologist in the past and they all
said he had OK range of motion and to wait for him to outgrow it. Last
week we had to visit the ortho dr. because he broke his arm and I had
them look at...

Toe walking by

My son, who is now 13 months has recently been walking on his toes
ALOT. He has been walking for about 4 months now, but just started
this. I just started to notice also, that he is pretty flat footed. My
sister and brother both have very flat feet and I wonder if this could
be the cause? He has...

DD is 4yo and walks almost exclusively on her toes. I've read that needs to
be evaluated. I mentioned it once to her ped a while back and he said she
didn't have cerebral palsy, but I know there are other concerns besides
that. I am messaging her ped again, since it's been some time since our...

toddlers, toilet training... by
damberh
My 3 year old daughter will not poop in the potty at home. She will
at school, did once at home for a sitter, but that's it. What's going
on with her? She knows the routine, has been peeing in the toilet for
about a year, but still no poops. Any advice or recommendations?

Toddlers walking along busy streets by

Toddlers walking:
My daughter is a great, active 22-month-old who is just starting to talk
well. We live in a city neighborhood that has pedestrian-friendly
sidewalks along with a lot of maniacal drivers.
My daughter can walk along the sidewalk without heading toward the street
very often. But,...

Toddlers and formula by

In another thread, someone stated that toddlers should still be drinking
formula (or breastmilk) to two years. I generally d/c formula at the one
year mark, which my son is approaching. Am I misinformed? Do you all who
don't breastfeed to two years (and when did the rec become two years? ...
