early labour? by Vicky Bilaniuk
Yep, yet another thread on this. ;-) Sorry, but I have to ask. Last night, I had very definite period-like cramps. I've had this before in recent weeks, but it was extremely mild and didn't last long. I put it out of my mind. Last night, it was a little less mild, although still what I would...

Birth story: Jack (Long) by Donna
Thanks for all your congratulations, everyone. :) We had an OR time of 7am on the 27th, so we were in the car at around 5am heading to the hospital (we had to be there by 5:30). Ironically, knowing exactly when the delivery was scheduled was a little bit of a letdown for both of us, because the...

when do cycles start post-partum? by Honey38ch
I feel like I am ovulating, but little Joshua is only 5 1/2 weeks old. Is this even possible while breastfeeding? What is the normal time-span for resuming cycles? DH and I need to get cracking on birth control - for so many months, years even, we have not had to worry :) Honey

new pics! by Angela Schepers
Well, I got onto DH and he put all our recent pics put on our website. They've all been taken over the last few days so all are very recent. So far he's 13 weeks 1 day old and 15.5lbs. I'm not sure about his length yet but we'll know that at our next dr. appointment in a few weeks. Enjoy everyone.

When will I feel it move? by Beach mum
I vaguely remember that 2nd time moms feel movement sooner, but I'm wondering when the 'usual' time is? I had an ultrasound last week (this OB is big on them although I'm going to stop that pretty soon) and I have a moving kidney bean with arms and legs. I'm at 10 weeks now, but am ready...

October due dates 10/04 by Mary S.
How are you feeling, seven-monthers? Enjoying your beautiful belly? Any braxton hicks? Aches and pains, or are you carrying on with life as usual? Everything lined up for the birth, maternity leave, found a doula, taken a breastfeeding class, toured the birth center/hospital, happy with the care...

Postpartum swollen feet - normal?? by M Wayne
DS Harry is 6 days old, and ever since I got back from the hospital, my feet have been HUGE, much more swollen than at any time during pregnancy (and they were ridiculously big towards the end). Is this normal? -- Melissa (remove "NOSPAM" to reply)

lucky us! by Angela Schepers
Baby Quinn just turned 13 weeks old yesterday and over the past couple weeks he's started adjusting his sleep schedule. He's going to sleep sometime around 10:45-11:45PM at night and waking up anywhere around 7-9am to eat, then goes back to sleep until 10-11:30am. And he's kept doing this every...

Lochia or period? by Jody Pellerin
Brittany was born June 25th and so I'm now 6 weeks post partum as of yesterday. At about 4 weeks, lochia tapered off to pretty much nothing. So about a week and a half went by of no blood, not red, pink, brownish, etc. So then about four or so days ago, the bleeding started again. Bright red and it...

TTC question by Elana Person
Hi, I have been lurking and occasionally posting on this newsgroup since I was pregnant with DS#1. Now we are about to start TTC our third. I have a quick question though... If I have a long cycle, (last one was 42 days) when did I most likely ovulate? In the middle of the cycle or is it more...

22w5d Follow-up Level 2 Ultrasound Visit by ModernMiko
Well, we went in for the follow-up level 2 u/s. Because I declined the amnio, the peri wanted to get a better look at the heart than what he could get 4 weeks ago. Added bonus was another chance to double check the gender as I had to trust them last time cause I couldn't see his "package"...

How can you tell early contractions? by Donna Metler
This is probably complete and utter paranoia, but I've had a lot of lower back pain the last few days. Most sites say it's a normal part of pregnancy (and I have a slight scoliosis, so it's even more expected), but there are a few which list back pain as a sign of premature labor! YIKES! I've...

Exercise and effect on early labor? by Carlye
The threads about weight gain/loss reminded me that I've been meaning to ask you all about your experience with exercise late in pregnancy. I have always been a pretty active person. When I got pregnant, I didn't really slow down. My doc said I could do just about anything, provided I kept my...
