I appreciate each persons answer and find the tips helpful.
I'd like to ask one more question. Pregnancy for me isn't a pleasant
experience. Except for the baby involved the whole ordeal is a burden.
The reason being is because of the constant woes of pregnancy. I usually
have headaches...

OB/GYN or midwife? by
anyone4tea
Or can I have both?
I have an OB/GYN but I have heard from other mothers that they only
come in at the end of the labor (ie the birth! :D). However, it seems
that midwives are present throughout the labor.
Is this right, and would I be able to have both a midwife and an
OB/GYN?
I have a PPO...

So far so sick... ;-) by
Ilse Witch
Morning sickness has struck with a vengeance, and I have spend a
significant part of the day googling posts with 'cures' for m/s. I never
realized it could be so bad, and I really feel for women who have to deal
with this all through their pregnancy. Nevertheless, I'll not complain, if
that's what...

Last visit with midwife by
Zaz
Well, this is it: we're on our own.
Yesterday was our last visit with our midwife at the Birth Centre.
I am doing fine and my perineal area is getting back in shape. Gotta do
those Kegel exercises more often, though. Everything has scared and is
"functional". DH had a big smile at that verdict,...

Parenting pundits proliferate
A couple of generations ago, parenting advice came from grandma's
traditions, the neighbor's opinion or, in case of a high fever or
temper tantrum, a dog-eared copy of Dr. Spock.

India, squatting, neuro-theology and the World Health Organization by
Todd Gastaldo
Pregnant women in India: India's OBs are very likely imitating the West's
obstetricians - routinely closing birth canals up to 30% and keeping birth
canals closed when babies get stuck. See quote below.
You do not have to squat to allow your birth canal to open the "extra" up to
30%. See the...
