RSV by
ChitaShines
I just found out today that my doctor has ordered monthly injections (7 mos)
for my DD. She was born at 33 weeks which is why she needs these
injections. I've just done some reading up on RSV. It said that fall thru
spring is the "RSV time" and that to prevent your infant from catching it is
to...

body image anxiety dream by
Melania
I've had really strange and vivid dreams during both my pregnancies,
but almost never to do with actually being pregnant or having a baby.
Last night, however, I had my first real pregnancy "anxiety" dream.
I dreamed I got up in the morning, went to put on my bra, and
discovered that none of my...

Still OK! by
Ilse Witch
Hi all,
After an extended leave of absence I hope you ladies are all doing as well
as can be. I have no time to read through 800+ posts, so I will catch up
as the week goes on.
As for me, my beta was nice and high on dec 31 again. Now the question is,
did I understand the nurse correctly. If so,...

I was a frequent lurker here when pregnant with my now 22 month old,
but never came out of the shadows. But, the time seems right, so...
We recently decided to TTC #2. I'm still nursing little kiddo, but AF
returned at about 10 months (even with the mini-pill). Anyhow, on...

Taylor's birthday party review... by
Jamie Clark
Taylor had a great birthday! We had her birthday party on Sunday, and ended
up having about tons of people, both big and small. We had 21 adults and 16
kids RSVP (many families came with both kids and both parents, which was
great!), but I have no idea how many people were actually here. But, it...

Nausea - an update by
anyone4tea
Well, it seems that there are several triggers to my NVP. Having
discovered them, things really seem to have improved immensely.
1) Orange juice
2) Toothpaste
3) Flossing my teeth.
4) Cheese
Pasta definitely seems to go down well, as do ham sandwiches (ham
cooked at home), boiled eggs and toast.

What is the usual timing for others, by
Dee Dee Le
What is the usual timing for others, like Dads, to be able to
feel the baby move? So far I can only feel it move from the
inside I guess because whenever my husband tries, he can't
feel it. Will it be a while yet?

sleep help needed by
Anne Rogers
I am sleeping really badly and I have no idea why, I get off to sleep ok,
but I wake up many many times for no reason and what sleep I do get doesn't
seem to be restful.
I was in bed from 10pm to 8am last night, but it feels like I got 5 or 6
hours sleep. My one thought last night was maybe the...

Lipitor medication by
bta
Hi folks!
I've read a lot of info on medication that is harmful for the woman
before and after conception. However any idea on what meds may be bad
for the man....damage sperm, etc. My husband has been taking lipitor
to lower his chlosterol. I know it shouldn't be taken by women, but
any harm...

Woohoo-from MSNBC-Simple test may predict pre-eclampsia by
Donna Metler
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6786012/
Of course, in my case, it takes no test to predict that there's a good
chance of PE again, but this is still very good news.

20 week appointment by
Chookie
My third visit to the hospital was yesterday and I saw a third obstetrician!
The disadvantage of being a public patient is that you see the ob on duty,
even in a high-risk clinic. So I had to explain What Happened Last Time
again! He was very impressed.
He was taking my blood pressure at the...

How do you survive the newborn period? by
Donna Metler
I'm glad Alli is here-honest-but there are times when I really wonder why we
decided to have children in the first place! I'm just having a really hard
time dealing with the sleep deprivation, the fussiness, the feeding
difficulties (I'm pumping 6 times a day, as well as trying to nurse, since
she...

9mo sleep disturbed no more by
Pologirl
A story in which Ferber comes to the rescue.
We are all light sleepers and once Monkey Boy started pulling
to stand in his crib, we reached a crisis point. At 3 months
he sometimes slept through the night. Approaching 9 months,
a typical night involved 3 or 4 wakings. Each time, I moved
him...

diaper liners by
Pamela
I used cloth for the majority of Owen's first 15 months without ever
using liners. I just changed his nappy when it was wet, and rinsed
it when it was poopy. He only got nappy rash when he was on
antibiotics, and we would switch to disposables.
