39 week update by Kat
Went to the OB today...I have lost 3 pounds in the last week. BP is fine. I also went ahead and had him check me, I wasn't going to originally but because of curiosity I couldn't hold out any longer:-) Anyway, the front of the cervix is open but the opening closer to the baby is still closed. ...

My 3 monnth old son just started with this wooping sound when he cries for too long. He will cry and then get to a point where he screams, then waits and then catches his breath but makes a wooping cough, and ends up coughing or gaggin sometimes. What is that?

Vitamin A- do you need to monitor intake?? by Jill
Another thread reminded me of this. I know Vitamin A is not recomended during pregnancy due to birth defects. (I know you aren't supposed to use RetinA or Accutane for this reason). My prenatal Vitamin does not contain any Vitamin A for this reason. (I take PreCare brand). My OB told me when I was...

XPost: CTTS/D by New York Jen
Laszlo did something really cute today. We were rough housing and he was hitting me in the face (not the cute part, but not hitting me hard either)...and I said, "Nice Mommy" so he made nice on my face. Then I said, "Are you going to make nice on Baby Lily when she comes?" - he usually has no...

IVF births more troubled: study (notice the short line length that ALL newspapers use) by Naomi Pardue
IVF births more troubled: study I wonder if the study took into account (aside from the the high rate of multiple births that are the greatest risk factors for many of these problems), the simple fact that IVF mothers tend to be, on average, older than typical mothers and so a) are at somewhat...
