weaning & night feeds by
[email protected]
Hi Everyone,
I have an 18month old who I'm ready to wean from BF. During
the day he will drink some regular/whole/organic milk and
he likes it just fine. He can actually go the whole day
without nursing and he doesn't seem bothered or upset by
this at all.
At night he still wakes up 3-4 times...

A Few More Questionds For Those With Experience by
Wrangler 4x4
My wife is cutting out dairy and eggs to help our gassy baby. Are
acidic or spicy foods ok? How about greasy or fried foods? Also, she
is starting to feed our baby from a bottle (her milk). How much should
he get per feeding if he is less than a month old? She will be
returning to work soon...

weaning or maybe not, how to do it? by
cjra
I don't _want_ to wean DD. In my ideal world we'd continue going until
one of us is done. However we've already decided if at one year I'm
not ovulating, to wean as we're very anxious to TTC. At almost 10
months now, DD is still a nursing machine. She nurses regularly 3x/
night (the last few nights...

Hales Look up please. by
AlenasMom
I need to know if it's safe to take Naprosyn. (500mg)
I pulled a muscle in my back, and as I'm the only one home with Alena most
of the day, Dr. L prescribed this for me to ease the pain. :(
Thanks in advance ladies!

Help with night weaning by
Rachel
Since birth, my 14 mo DD has been waking between 2 and 4 times a night to
nurse. Three weeks ago I decided it was time to stop nursing her during the
night in the hope that she would start sleeping through. (I am soooo tired.)
For the first few nights if she woke before 1am I offered her water...

OT (kind of):Poop schedule by
CY
I just wondered if anyone else experiences the same thing we have going on.
DD is almost 17 months and still mostly bf'd. She does not eat a whole lot
of anything on a regular schedule although she often grazes on whatever I
happen to be eating. Anyway, since we started on solids (around...

breastfeeding rates by
Clare L
Can anyone point me to data on breastfeeding rates in the US - I've got data
for the UK and wanted to see how the countries compare. I figure people here
might already have found them and I'm feeling lazy.
Love
Clare, where DS is starting to cruise and DD is mastering the potty....

long-term milk storage by
Mary
Wow, you guys make soap with your milk. That is so neat. :)
A friend had this idea, which I think is a good one -- freezing some
milk for a possible emergency situation with a new baby (rather than
having to use formula, if some kind of problem arose and I wasn't able
to nurse my newborn). But...

frothy poops related to diet or not? by
Linda
DD is almost 6 months and initially her poops were once every 2 days,
mustardy and a solidish consistancy. Then almost 3 months ago she had to go
on antibiotics and instantly she started pooping frothy green liquid,
several times a day. I didn't worry initially as I know antibiotics can
affect...

introducing bottles? by
KD
Greetings folks:
I'm mom to an eight week old boy who is exclusively breastfed. One of the
women in my parent/tot group told me this morning that she had read that
babies should be introduced to bottlefeeding by this time, to get them used
to it. Otherwise if you want to use bottles and expressed...

Teeth question by
Jodie
DD (almost 9 months) now has seven teeth. For the most part, she has
been very gentle with me while nursing. Aside from a couple of episodes
of clamping down after the teeth came in, followed by mommy's screams,
we are doing OK.
2 questions, though... When she nurses, it feels like her teeth...

I've mentioned on here before that we have taken Nathanael for tests in

phoned by the registrar who took blood at our last visit and one of the
tests for clotting took longer than it should...

I don't know if anybody remembers me, but I posted here quite a bit
when I was pregnant with Victoria. I was only able to nurse my other
two children for a combined total of four months, and I was determined
to breastfeed Victoria.
I got some excellent input from people here, but what helped me...
