Radiologists! Reach in vagina - pull on sacral tip! by Larry McMahan
Todd Gastaldo ) writes: The thing that strikes me about this post is that if you look at the confidence interval around the measurement: 1. It is much smaller than the amount the birth canal is close by sitting in the semisitting position. 2. By the results of the...

I am sooo exited!!!!!! by Andrea S
I find out my babys sex next week!!!!!! I have found a private clinic that will do either a 2D or 3D/4D scan to determine gender. With the 2D you get pics and a video, with the 3D/4D you get a DVD and pics! It's booked for 12pm on Thursday 3rd of May! I have been told if I choose the 3D/4D scan...

21w u/s update by Emily
Hi folks, Had a follow-up u/s today, and an OB visit. Amniotic fluid fine (AFI 13.8), baby's growth is fine, marginal previa is still there (follow up u/s for that at ~30 weeks), mild club foot still there (not surprising) and still isolated.. no other extremeties are affected. And still a boy :-)

moving furniture... by V.
Well, my office was moving yesterday and today. No one was helping the office manager, so I felt that I needed to do so. We had moving guys for the heavy stuff, but I still ended up carrying a lot of boxes and dragging desks, etc into place. I'm only 9 wks, and my understanding was that I didn't...

amazing 2 headed baby by Anne Rogers
well my own midwife couldn't be sure of the babies position on Friday, today another midwife had a poke and was about to tell me the baby was breech when she realised she could also feel a head at the pelvis! Obviously at 33 weeks there is no need for concern, so we just laughed at the idea of a 2...

Does father determine/contribute gestation length? by Melania
Joybelle wrote: I did a little googling, and I found one article that suggested it was a possibility that the father could have some bearing on gestation length. The reason I'm asking is mainly out of curiosity. I have a BIL who has fathered 5 children with three women. My sister will be...

37 week update by Melania
Well, there you go - I'm at term!! Everything hunky dory healthwise, and I checked with doc that the hospital rooms have birthing balls (they do), so I don't have to bring my own. Also, GBS neg, hurray! Baby's head is further down than two weeks ago - last time it was "still floating a bit - I can...

A suggestion for Carl by Larry McMahan
Carl, Do you have a threaded newsreader? What i mean is one that shows an original post, and all it's responses together is one string of articles seperated from the other articles. 1. I suggest that you get one, if you don't have one now. This is NOT the suggestion in the title of my post,...

Thanks for nanny help! by Irrational Number
I really appreciate everyone's comments on my nanny issues. I am learning that most of them are non-issues and I should back off because it can be stressful for her that I'm now home for the next 4 weeks! And, I have had friends in real life tell me that a nanny isn't necessarily an infant...

jellybean nursing pillow? by Melania
I'm shopping around for a nursing pillow for #2 - #1's pillow is old and flattened, and I sort of think it's something they should each have their own special one of . . . #1's pillow is a "Baby Sitter" made by Jolly Jumper. It's okay, but flatter and floppier than the Boppy pillows I've had the...

why is pregnancy so miserable? by take two
Or am I the only one who feels like this? I know we all talk about the "miracle of life", but for me lately, it seems to be more of a trial by fire. I am moody, constantly nauseous, feel fat and ugly, can't sleep, my boobs hurt, etc. This is my second child, and I think that for me, ignorance...

infant stroller options, please help by Elana
Hello, moms and moms to be! I'm researching options for a newborn now, and my choices a carriage/basinette, stroller that folds down flat and has a boot, and car seat/carrier as stroller. Basinette definitely looks more comfortable and warm (my baby is due in very late summer, so he/she will...

ouch by Anne Rogers
about half an hour ago I got this sharp pain under my ribs on my right hand side, first thought was baby kicking, or just not sat in a comfortable position, so I got up and moved around, but the pain has not faded at all, and the kicks I've felt haven't been in that area. As far as my knowledge...

Disappearing butts by [email protected]
I'm not some old slob who goes around ogling at female butts all the time, however, I have noticed what I believe to be a real phenomenon of our times: post- puberty girls, and young women don't have asses anymore; at least nothing worth looking at. I know that that style of pants they wear now...
