Labor Rope by
[email protected]
Has anyone here heard of or tried out the rope that you pull on while you are in labor? It's
supposed to help quite a bit for women who have epidurals. It helps you to coordinate your pushing
muscles.

Admitted to the Hospital (longish) by
Daye
Hello all...
Well, I had a bit of a crisis on Thursday morning. I thought I had
gone into pre-term labor. Thankfully, that was not the case.
I am currently 23 weeks pregnant. On Thursday morning, I woke up at
1am, and I had pressure in my nether regions. I thought I needed to
go to the...

Newbie question: Any good resources on pregnancy? by
Timberwolf
Hi everyone
My wife has been pregnant with our baby son for about
four months now. I'm interested in reading up about
some good pregnancy advice or ways in which I can
help mother or baby cope better.
Can anyone recommend some good books or websites
about the topic?

Parenting Magazine by
Jemmy
Does anyone out there subscribe to Parenting magazine? They have just
recently changed their website and I need a web code to access parts
of their website (like the Baby Namer) I used with my first child.
Now I would subscribe, but they do not ship worldwide and I live in
Europe. If someone...

trying to. Then late last night, I started having cramps and bleeding as if
it were a regular period. A little bit of tissue has come out (Which I have
to save for my docs appointment on mon). Its like a small piece of...

34 week gripes by
Nina
I guess I could wait to gripe till tomorrow when I see the midwife, but I
cant.
My baby is STILL transverse, her head does seem lower than her butt, but
from all indications she feels pretty horizontal to me. Usually she is
facing my navel, but sometimes flips and faces my back. What I notice...

OT - the house I grew up in by
Cathy Weeks
I can't believe it. My mom just called. The house I grew up in - we
moved in just before my 11th birthday, just burned down. The kitchen
and dining room, and living room are gone - the roof is gone and the
floors have collapsed into the basement. It was my parent's dream
house that they built. ...

1st prenatal visit by
Kerry J. Renaissance-McAdams
It went well. We have only one baby in there, from the looks of it.
Yay! I'm intrigued about carrying twins or triplets, but just as glad
not to have to experience it. Nice healthy 10 week baby -- you could
the distinct head already, and the arm and leg buds.
I let my Ob/Gyn know it was a...

Itching at 32w? Should I be worried? by
Serenity
A very dear friend of mine had
Intrahepatic/Obstetric Cholestasis of Pregnancy
and it did present with similar symptoms to you.
If the shower doesn't fix things you need to get a liver function test
rapidly.
At least if it is nothing - no worries.
BTW her baby boy was born at 36 weeks and is now...

He's arrived :-) by
Karen
Benedict Blair 'Ben'
arrived 8:55 PM September 15
7lbs 10 oz
20 1/2 inches

I'll post a detailed birth story later. It was a long day but a pretty
short active labor, only about 2 hours and
16 minutes from 6cm and water breaking to birth.

Tips/tricks for first time moms: Add your suggestions! by
JuliesSolo
Was just thinking of things related to a first baby from birth to three months;
things I'd heard from my mom or friends, things I just somehow thought would
work, things I've learned the hard way, and things I wish I'd known sooner. If
a list like this has been done before, I haven't seen it, and...

Can I guess how far along I am? by
Jill
My husband and I started trying to have a baby, and it happened really
quickly. I took a lot of EPT's.......at one point, I got up one day and said
"I'm pregnant! I know I am, I feel it!" I took an EPT and it was negative. I
went to work and asked my coworkers, "Can I possibly be having...
