hey all I'm back by
april & co[_2_]
Hi Guys
well we've got reconnected to BT after trying the pay as you go broadband.
That is a good way to go if you don't want monthly bills but it's slower and
generally a pain in the butt and I couldnt get my faithful newsgroups so we
decided to go back to BT. Well don't know where I was at...

postpartum: stool stofteners? by
Shena Delian O'Brien
I was reading through my hospital's pregnancy manual where they tell you
exactly what to expect out of their care etc. It says they give you a
self-administered medication kit to take home with you and in it is a
stool softener they recommend taking to help with bowel movements the
first week or...

The cosleeper Dad built... by
Jenrose
I'm so tickled by this... it's 18 inches wide by 48 inches long, with
1 foot of that being shelf/bedside table space. It will sit flush with
the bed, and the firm foam mattress with baby vinyl cover (Mom *made*
the mattress)fits the space so snugly that it doesn't move even when
the unit is tipped,...

a friend just had her 4th child, she suffered a placental abruption during
labour, the same happened with her 3rd child, usually when I've heard
about placental abruption it's not been in labour, plus I've not heard of
people having more than one placental abruption, it usually seems to be a

This one isn't in the books by
Anne Rogers
So, there is plenty of discussion about how and when you should tell
various people in your life about pregnancy, but they never cover dance
partners.
I took up ballroom dancing about 18 months ago when things were starting
to look up a bit after the last birth. At first I really struggled to...

Attn RNs: Ongoing Obstetric Rape of Birth by
Todd Gastaldo
ATTN RNs: ONGOING OBSTETRIC RAPE OF BIRTH
PREGNANT WOMEN should NOT have to ask OBs for the "extra" up to 30% of
pelvic outlet area that OBs are denying... IT'S A CRIME that OBs are
closing birth canals and making women beg for the "extra" outlet area...
Pregnant women: It's EASY to allow your...

Hiring help by
Mogget
Dunno if I've left this too late, I'm 28 weeks now, but I'm wondering
whether I should be thinking about hiring a doula after all. Or a
birthing pool.
Any ideas where I should start looking, please, to find either of these?
I live in London. That's in the UK.

The benefits of progesterone supplements by
Ilse Witch
In the light of recent events, I've been doing some reading on
progesterone deficiency and its relation to miscarriages. My findings so
far seem to suggest that I've been having the wrong idea. I am wondering
if there are any experts here that could point me to some additional
literature or...

Ovulation or just warm? by
Sophie
I woke up this morning and said to myself "I feel warm". With that I took
my temp and sure enough it was high (for me). Yesterday's temp was 97.2 and
today's is 97.7. Usually a .5 jump is ovulation - but today is only Day 9.
With kids 1, 2, and 3 ovulation wasn't till Day 21-23. Is this...

Compact Car for 3 baby seats in rear? by
Pokee
I am looking to buy another vehicle for our family - and we can only
afford a used one - probably 2002 - 2004. The car needs to fit a baby
seat and two full-back booster seats in the rear. My current compact
SUV doesn't quite do the job (my DD's Britax takes up half the back
seat!).
I'll be...

OT, but worried: Infant coughing/snorting by
carlye
Hey all. If you have any advice or experience, I'd appreciate it if
you shared.
Last Saturday, when Hale was a day old, the ped noticed he made a funny
sound when breathing in while he was crying. I can't remember the word
the doctor used, but to me, the sound is like a "snort." He mentioned
it...

How are the new moms and babies doing? by

Hi everyone. I have been gone for a while. I came back and wrote a
birth story a few weeks ago but in the middle my computer crashed and
I lost it and I just didn't have the heart to redo it yet. I will post
the long version soon but the short version is that Charlotte Amelia
arrived on 5/20,...

Suddenly refusing to eat solids! by
Lizajane
DS (10 months) has started refusing to eat solids from a spoon, even
his old favorites. I thought it was because he was not feeling well,
but he seems to be feeling better and still is giving DH trouble while
eating. I quit breastfeeding him early (4 months), so he drinks
formula now. He doesn't...

Something just didn't sit right with me about the way Rachel's former

her at all, NOT that I have tried to get her to go back- I mean, that's...
