Leaky breasts in pregnancy by cjra
Everything I've read says it's normal to leak in the last month of pregnancy, but how normal is it *not* to leak? Did you leak? and if not, any association with when/how well your milk came in? I leaked ~week 22-25, but nothing since then (now at 38w)

UPDATE: baby on the breast all the time by Larry McMahan
KC writes: : Today my baby is sleeping the day away instead of nursing all day, so : hopefully the worst is over. I am not used to having free time with : no baby attached to my chest :-) This is exactly our experience of what happened after our babies had a growth spurt. ...

Exclusive BF is so awesome by Akuvikate
So far in the Bug's 4 and a half months on Earth, aside from mum milk she's had nothing but a few doses of tylenol and mylicon, and perhaps a bit of bathwater here and there. Last night as she was nursing off to sleep I looked at her and realized that every molecule of this little human being --...

Hales Lookup Please by Sunnyflower999
Hi All, I have a 6 month old son which I'm happily breast feeding without problems. However I have a need to use a cream called Bayer Mycospor (10g - Bifonazole 10mg, Urea 400mg) topically. Could someone please do a Hales look-up on this product for me? Thanks in advance. Regards,

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Goes to Vegas (almost as long as the trip itself) by Phoebe & Allyson
(Not cross-posted, but posted several places separately.) There should be a special hell reserved for people who drag 10 week old babies on cross-country roadtrips, and one feature of that hell is the presence of a 10 week old baby on your cross-country roadtrip. We set off at 6am on the 7th,...

breast pump effectiveness by ted
Why they won't/can't make a breastpump as effective as a baby? I use lactina at work but I heard even that isn't really as effective as nursing. I know the formula companies just won't make a good one but what about Medela et al? I for one think that their pumps are overpriced so why not make them...

Subject: vitamin A - hale's lookup? by iphigenia
Vicki S wrote: I currently take "6000 IU" of vitamin A per day in my prenatal vitamin, plus whatever is in my food. I'm about to have some foot surgery and the podiatrist was going to put me on more vitamin A, till he found out I was breastfeeding. (He asked! I was impressed.) ...

Didn't realise pumping would be such a Pain! by cjra
I pumped for 3 weeks while DD was in hospital so doing it is not a big deal. And I work in an office, normal office hours with a door which locks and a kitchen w/sink to wash things, so surely it should be no problem. AND, I work for the health dept which is pushing a big BF awareness campaign at...

Now I'm getting nervous -daycare starts on Monday by cjra
And DD still won't take a bottle! A friend managed to get her to take 5 mls on saturday. We've tried once since then (were travelling Monday and she had her shots today). We've been trying - tho not daily - since she was 6 weeks old and she's 11 weeks now. She just refuses. She DID take a bottle...

When does your toddler sleep? by Sara
We've recently had more luck getting our 15 month old to sleep at night, but we're still working out the kinks. One problem is that he wants to stay up late at night -- he falls asleep at 10 pm at the earliest, and that's after a struggle. He wakes up for the day between 6 and 7 am, and takes one...

Two things... by Shunaari
1-) My son is two months old and last night my mother fed him half a mashed up banana mixed up with some milk. I said no to her - but she went on about how many children she has raised and that she did it to us when we where just 1 month old. This is worrying me as I think my son will get an upset...

playing with foods before introducing solids? by teapot
Excuse typose goota type quick whilst moo is lseep and potatos are cooking! Heath visitor thought that moo would sleep better if given carbohydrates but said to use my intuition as to when he was ready - hes 5 and a half months old, and was 2 weeks early so no hurry as far as I'm concerned. When...

*g* I have PCOS. DS was likely my only prior ovulation (and I have the ultrasound to prove I had a follicle (like DS wasn't enough), but since his birthday, I have had regular cycles, and suspected I was ovulating....this "cycle" was weird, but I decided to chart (haphazardly). tomorrow I'm...

UPDATE: Pulling at breast (Cracked nipple advice needed) by Jodie
Well, as you can tell from the subject line, the football hold did not turn out to be my saving grace. She saw it as an opportunity to not only pull my nipple out with one hand, but two! (stinker!!) However, I am happy to report that, after trying the football for a couple of days, we have gone...

So frustrated by Cheryl S.
DS nursed once last evening on the left side only when I tried lying down, and once during the night, but this morning is still refusing, even when lying down. No matter what I do, he will not nurse on my left side. He won't even latch. He just screams around the nipple. This is the third day...

Brag (warning: sleeping thru night ment.) by Joy
My 3-month-old boy slept for 9 hours straight two nights ago! (His usual stretch is 7 hours without waking/eating--and he usually sleeps another 2 after a snack.) He also takes a 3 hour nap most afternoons (plus one or two shorter naps in the morning). Mind you, I know this is not a result of my...
