Bragging Time by
New York Jen
I took Laszlo for his 2 year well toddler check up today. He's just under
32 pounds and they couldn't get an accurate height reading because he
wouldn't cooperate, but the shorter end of what he measured was 34 1/4
inches and that puts him in the 50th percentile.
The pediatrician said that his...

turning head without letting go by
Jan
My nine month old is very easily distracted and turns her head
suddenly and doesn't let go first. It *hurts*. I'm pretty experienced
at teaching a baby not to bite, but should I expect the same thing to
work here? I don't let her back on right away, and this usually makes
her mad. But I don't...

white spots by
Luna
Moving right along . . . DS (2 months) has a few white dots inside of
his lower lip. Looks almost like stuck-on spit up. They do scrape
off with persistence. I expected patches with thrush, but these spots
are small. My end of things isn't very helpful, or maybe it is? BF
has been not painful...

Teeth-Bananas vs. Breast by
Bach
I need advice. Ds is 6 months old, and has 3 teeth. Just yesterday,
he began biting my breast relentlessly when trying to feed him. He
started solids 2 weeks ago, and has had rice cereal and bananas. Last
night, when attempting his nurse to sleep ritual is when he started
the biting. I...

having a miserable time by
Liquid
Baby has been sick for about 10 days now. He'll sleep for no more than
two hours at a stretch, and usually wakes up every 45 minutes to an
hour. I am completely sleep deprived, running so on empty that I can't
settle in at night because I know I'm just going to have to wake up
again before the...

New Avent Storage? by
New York Jen
I saw an ad in a parenting magazine yesterday for new Avent storage
containers. It doesn't say on the ad anywhere if they are freezable, but it
does compare them to the bags and how inconvenient those bags can be for
storage. It says how you can pump directly into these containers from the
Isis...

perdita
hi, its me again.
my son is 3,5 months old and he has problem with reflux (spits a lot after
each feeding). the sitaution got worse now cause he puts his hands in his
mouth all the time and that provokes further spitting untill there is
nothing left in his tummy. I wouldn't care about it, but his...

Not biting, but pinching! by
Lina
Alena has taken to painfully pinching me! She has two teeth now and has
never bitten, (Well, twice, but not since then) but is pinching off chunks
of my breast!!!! I have open cuts all over now!
Today she did it again right at the edge of my areola and I screamed! It
hurt so bad I cried... she...

Green Poops, Letdown and More by
Usenet Fan
I've been searching the archives and some websites to get some
information on green poops, and have found that most commonly, the
green and mucousy stools are caused by an imbalance of foremilk and
hindmilk.
My DS is 11 weeks and nurses about every three hours. I do find that
he chokes on the...

Is she weaning or is my milk going? by
A&G&K
DD has barely nursed the last week or so. She had only been nursing 1 or 2
times a day prior to that, and now she might have a brief nurse but only if
I remind her. I have been trying to remind her to nurse quite often in the
hope that my supply might be OK, but she's not really that interested...

How long do you keep breast milk in fridge? by
Zucca4
I read so many conflicting things everyting from 48 hours to 5 days. I become
paranoid and taste my milk before giving it to our little mush and of course
I'm always convinced it tastes different, probably because we have a very
varied diet with tons of different cuisines..sometimes it tastes...

Motivation needed by
Leigh McCuen
My (almost 8 mos old) daughter's been a slow eater from day 1. Her
typical nursing session's around 45 minutes, with her longer ones (in
the evening, or when she doesn't feel well) running to 2 hours. And she
nurses about every 2 hours (so there are times when I get maybe time to
run to the...

dear all,
i have a 5 1/2 month old and i am looking for suggestions on how to get her

Who was selling Maya wraps? by
Emily
Hi folks,
Given how much I have to chase #1, I've decided that
#2 is going to have to be a sling baby :). (DS didn't
like the OTSBH we had, and I never tried very hard
with him.) A good friend who had a baby at the same
time as DS had a Maya wrap, and it seemed to work really
well, so I thought...

drying up in one breast? by
MonifromMarrs
Ok I know this sounds strange but what could be going on here? My DD is 14
months old and will not nurse from one breast. She complains and says hungry
and more and please every time I try to nurse from the left side right side
seems fine and she dosnt complain a bit on that one. I had thought...

Not co-sleeping by
Irish Marie
I just wanted to take a straw poll of those that did/do and didn't/don't
co-sleep.
My dh is a barman so he always stinks of passive smoke after work, he also
smokes the occasional cigar so he sometimes smells of smoke even when not
working.
So based on that I don't think that it would be wise to...
