3 mo standing supported by
toypup
Is it bad for their legs? I've heard it was because their bones are soft
and not meant to support the weight of their body. Not sure if it's just an
old wives' tale. DD loves it, but we don't do it too much because we're not
sure if it's a problem. Is there any good source on this? I'd do it...

Difficult toilet training (keyword potty 2yo diaper pullups) by
jsa13
I have one daughter, now 5yo, whom I used the "toilet Training in Less
than a Day" method on w/ great results when she was 3. One session
and, as the llama says, "BOOM baby!". My second daughter is much more
impervious to brainwashing. She refuses to engage in the whole
action/reward game. She...

Do you "correct" others' kids? by
ted
In another thread someone mentioned that her kids were jumping on the
coffee table when her friend's kids started it. So that made me
thinking.. Sorry if this was discussed here before.
This happened to us in the past. I didn't have kid(s) then. Anyways,
if you have visitors and if their kids...

Husband doesnt love our daughter by
Jane
My husband has always had a distant relationship with our 8 year old only
child. I thought it was because she was a girl and also that he didn't like
the baby and toddler stage. recently things have gotten a lot worse and he
hardly says two words to her. I confronted him about this, saying he...

Can you stand one more potty question? by
sue
With my daughter, what worked was to literally just say "no more
diapers" once I knew she was capable, which was around 2 months before
her third birthday. Without boring you with all the details, suffice it
to say that one day, I realized I was providing her with a convenience,
and that was the...

It is plainly dumb not to sue the father for support.
The argument that you don't need the money is bogus. If you do not
need the money to raise the child, then you can simply deposit...

Kids and bigger cars by
ted
DH and I drive cars. No SUV. At what point of time with two kids did
you feel that you don't have enough trunk space/storage and you need
an SUV or a minivan? I want to avoid buying a bigger vehicle for many
reasons. With only one kid, if we put stroller in the trunk, there's
barely any space for...

HELP! Breaking the swaddling habit.. by

Hi:
My wife and I need some serious help. Our 5 month old son will not sleep
without being swaddled. The problem is he breaks out of it no matter what we
do, (we've even tried special swaddle blankets, but he is just too strong),
and now that he can roll over we find him screaming, arms exposed on...
