placenta recipe and experience by
teapot
It had been in the freezer for 6 weeks and I thought my birthday would
be a good a day as any to eat the thing. I was a bit put off by some
photos on the web when I looked for recipes but when it came down to
it, it was an amazing thing to look at. The umbilical cord was there,
cut off where my...

Got Some Questions by
Shelby
I missed the LLL meeting again today and I really needed some advice, so I
am hoping all you experienced bf can help.
1. DS is 6 months and offered food twice a day: he eats advocado, bananas,
pears, carrots, apples, sweet potatoe - he hates peaches, and I just tried
him on squash and he has...

Update re Nursing Strike?! by
Tatjana Farkin
Thanks a lot for the suggestions, R is nursing again :-)
My friend kept offering and R declined, but she started accepting it
during nap time and at night when she was half asleep. Friend's supply
was dwindling quickly (of course her pump had to break exactly now!),
but malt beer and...

trying to get the individual vaccines for a year and was never able to.
We took ds to a pediatrician for his 3 yr check-up and they also checked
into the individual vaccines for us and found out that only the Rubella

10 mo partying at breast causing nipple trauma by
Christy
Ok, I know this is a phase, but how do I end it sooner than later and
what can I do for my poor nipple? I nurse my ds down for naps and bed
and lately he has become REALLY fidgety in my lap. He used to always
fall asleep while nursing, now I'm having to lay him down because he
can't seem to get...

First off, let me say that I really enjoy reading your posts. You cut
to the chase and offer a wealth of information.
I am just curious, as I am quite new to this group (well, new to posting
and remembering things, that is), do you have formal training, or is all
of your information strictly...

I have tried it. As a person who is a salesperson for breastpumps, and who
sees lots of mamas coming in to try pumps, YMMV on whether or not this pump
works for you. In general we find that women who have never pumped before
like this pump better and get better production that the PIS. However,...

Question about cows milk (long) by

Hello all,
I have a question regarding Cow's Milk and BF. What is the best way to
combine the two (not together, but in DD's diet). DD was a year on
Monday, and we were at the dr yesterday (20 lbs 13 oz, 30" length), and he
was saying that we need to get her on milk....

When can I eat dairy by
Melissa
DD currently gets horrible stomach cramps when I eat dairy. I'm wondering
how long I should go before trying to eat it again. Is this something she'll
grow out of or do I have to give up dairy for the entire time I'm nursing?

No one? :-) You'll note my hand isn't raised either. ;-)

question about starting solids by
DavesFatChick
My tiny baby is a big boy now - and way too soon for my taste. He got to have
some cereal the other day and took to it right away and with no complaints.
He's had cereal and squash so far and seems to look forward to it so no turning
back now.
So here's the question, how often should I be feeding...
