NIP Twins?? by
Ellie
How do you ladies manage NIP with twins - or don't you? At home I feed them
both together - but this involves lots of strategic placing of cushions and
positioning. To feed them seperately whilst out would take forever - they
are not fast feeders.
I have got a sling but can't for the life of me...

Food sensitivity - How long does it take till culprit appears in breast milk? by
Jen
Hello everybody!
Here's Jen, delurking once more to ask the people in
misc.kids.breastfeeding for advice.
My boy (7 weeks) pretty much has had a diaper rash from day one. I
tried everything, including fungal cream. Sometimes it went away, but
it always came back with a vengeance. Since a few days I...

Scheduling Feedings and sleep by
Sapphire Spiral
For the past month my DD has been stretching out her day feedings.
Along with this she has been waking and feeding more at night. She
has been waking every 2 to 3 hours. At some point I know that she
will start sleeping through the night again, but I was wondering if
part of the problem is that...

new with a question by
AJZZZMOMMY
Hello, I have a 15 week old baby girl that was born 4 and half weeks early. She
was born weighing at 6.15 lbs and 18 inch long, she had to stay in the hospital
for 4 days with rapid breathing and wet lungs, we are nursing great! She is now
13 pounds and 24 inches long. Is that a good weight gain...

When have you stopped co-sleeping? by
Zucca4
Is there a so-called "good time"? Our son turns three months today and we love
having him between us at night in our smallish Queen size bed. We could care
less about spit-up and peeps and poops on our sheets. It's made breastfeeding
so much easier for me and our baby goes to sleep when we do and...

Blood found in pumped milk - Please Help! by
Victor
My wife has been breastfeeding our first son for 4 1/2 months so far.
She started working about 2 months ago and has been pumping out breast
milk since then. A week ago, she noticed some blood in the pumped
milk, which makes about 3 ounces of milk displaying a pink color. This
happened again two...

supply problem by
toypup
When I had DS, I had an awful problem with overactive letdown. It went on
for months and I seriously considered giving up BF'ing. This time, when my
milk came in, DD started coughing when she BF'd and I could feel the OAL
coming in again. I spoke to a LC and she agreed with what I was doing...

speaking of studies by
Vicki S
My dear mother oh so kindly mailed me a newspaper article about an
anti-cosleeping study published in The Lancet, which I understand to
be a highly respected British medical journal. Has anyone seen this
study? Is it a decent study, a lousy one, somewhere in between? I
threw away the article in...

Back again :) by
Donna
Hi everyone!
I lurked here, more or less, for about two years, while I was pregnant with,
and then nursing, my daughter Sarah. I weaned her in July, and wouldn't you
know, I'm pregnant again, this time with a boy. I just wanted to say a
quick "Hi" to everyone, and to reintroduce myself. I got...

Sleep and sickness :( by
Kari
Good and bad news...
2 nights in a row Xander slept 12 hours with only 1 feeding, that lasted 5
minutes and went back to sleep!!! And not only that, but he's been taking 2,
2 hr naps a day. This is sooo wonderful. We co-sleep and decided to try him
in his crib and guess what? He sleeps!!! Amazing....

Separate MMR: seeking NYC-area parents (X-Post) by

If I can find nine other willing parents, I'll approach a mutually

I would happily travel to NYC to get the mumps and rubella that P needs.

OT sleep problems by
Anne Rogers
I don't think these are related to breastfeeding, though nursing is
currently out solution.
Basically ds seemed quite an average baby, his night waking decreased from
4 or 5 down to 2 then to 1 then to none and he slept through 5 or 6 nights
per week from about 4.5 months, this carried on til...

question about gerber breastmilk storage bags by
nichole
dumb question. I just switched to these bags from the medela ones. I am
trying to build up a freezer stash. I had "defrosted" the milk in a couple of
the medela bags by running warm water over them. can I do this with the gerber
bags? the box says to thaw in fridge or on countertop.
since...

lovey adoption & room sharing question by
Jan
Hi,
I have 2 questions related to sleep. I have a 3.5 year old (who nursed
to age 3) and a 9 month old. The nine month old stays with her
grandmother while I work, and does not nap well at all. She does nap
twice a day when I am home with her -- I nurse her to sleep lying
down.
I was thinking...

breast pumps by
Liquid
Hello All, I'm really new to the idea of pumping, and having a heck of a
time finding an electric pump in town for under $300.00 for regular use.
Are there any that you could reccommend? What does one need to have in
terms of milk storage, bottles etc? Can bottles be made up for
overnight or do...
