Boardbooks on breastfeeding by
Rosie
I have just bought:
I'm Made of Mama's Milk by Mary Olsen
Mama Means Milk by Anne Marie Myers
And I am disappointed at how CHEESY and WORTHY they are. Are there no other
books available about breastfeeding for babies? Why do they look at breasts
all day but can't read about them?!

Question about baby taking Antibiotic by
Carol Ann
I found a bit of what appears to be mucous in Morgan's diaper and in her
vaginal area.
Could the antibiotics have given her a yeast infection as they sometimes do
to us?
~Carol Ann
Oh, for those interested, I took Robuttusin and feel AWESOME now!

I got this book from my aunt, it's by Karen Pryor and Gale Pryor, and
is called "Nursing your Baby." It claims to be "fully updated for the
90s" on the cover. I'll let you guys judge...

8-month Roll Call! by
Belphoebe
Hey, I can't let teapot and her crew have all the fun, now can I? :P
My little bug just turned eight months today, and I can't believe the time's
going so fast. Who else has an eight-month old? Offhand, I can think of
two: ted and FayeC. Who else have we got, and how are you doing?

NIP Twins?? by
Ellie
How do you ladies manage NIP with twins - or don't you? At home I feed them
both together - but this involves lots of strategic placing of cushions and
positioning. To feed them seperately whilst out would take forever - they
are not fast feeders.
I have got a sling but can't for the life of me...

Medela Lactina piston question by
ted
The piston in my lactina accessory kit is making grinding noises for
the past week. I checked to see if there's anything wrong. Obviously
there is, but I didn't quite figure out what it is. How long do these
kits last? I've used this for about 100 times. Is it time to get
another one?
I remember...

6 month old refuses to nurse?? by
isturby
My daughter is 6 months old and started solid food a few weeks ago.
She had been starting to show a lack of interest in nursing prior to
starting the food, and I was advised to begin the
cereal/veggies....Anyhow, she currently does anything possible to avoid
nursing during the day. The only time...

Flat nipples and thyroid problems by
FazBeta
Hello
I'm 33 weeks pregnant with my second child. I had problems
breastfeeding my first baby and I need some help to be able to do
better with this one.
My first was not gaining enough weight, I don't know if it was a
supply problem or a milk quality problem; I've never been able to pump
much. I...

easy on the back baby sling by
mypet
I'm looking for a baby pouch or sling for a friend who must be a
little careful with her back. Can any of you make a recommendation?
I have read reviews on Baby Bjorn, Nojo, Over the Shoulder, and the
Maya Wrap Sling and pouch. It seems to me that the Maya is well-liked
but I still would like to...

Arghhh - stupid comments by
A&G&K
Is anyone experiencing an epidemic in stupid comments from well-meaning (but
stupid) people lately?
I met a woman at playgroup yesterday (who's DS is about the same age as my
DD) who was absolutely flabbergasted when she found out that not only am I
"still" breastfeeding DD (almost 14 mo), but...

Bug pictures by
Akuvikate
Just had to join in the parade of 6-month-old picture postings. I've
never posted photos online before, so not sure it'll work but here
goes. The first picture's a month or two old but I like it so I'm
posting it anyway. The second is Bug's first adventure with prunes
and the third is her...

nursing pad recs? by
toypup
I used them last time with DS but they didn't breathe and I think they made
my yeast infections worse, so I stopped using them, but I really needed
something. I leaked a lot last time, so I'm looking for something for after
this pg. I think cotton ones would breathe better than those...

Another cloth diaper question... by
xkatx
I often find I follow the topics about cloth diapers... *I* use cloth
diapers for DD, but DH won't because he just can't seem to be able to pin
them and all that... He is also not a fan of rinsing diapers, so when he's
with DD, he opts for the disposables, and when we go out, I put DD...

Supplementing with formula: what are legitimate reasons for it? by
Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward
A friend of mine has a two-month old son who is really quite skinny and
little, and she has been advised by her pediatrician to supplement her
breastfeeding with formula. She plans to put him in daycare pretty
soon when she goes back to work full time, and was concerned that if he
has no deposits...

Tell me this isn't just gas... by
zeldabee
Bubeleh will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. I've seen him smile many times, but
as part of a repertoire of expressions that pass over his face, and it
seemed almost random, so I figured they weren't "real."
This morning was different, though...We'd had a good night--he wasn't
fussy, didn't stay awake...

interesting rash, any ideas? by
Anne Rogers
Ada developed some spots last week, they instantly looked like fairly bad
acne, rather than blisters that then scabbed over. Basically everything
pointed away from chicken pox. By Sunday they had spread so she has a lot on
one arm and one leg, quite a few on the other arm and leg and the odd...
