How can I tell if I ripped my stitches? by
PregoNoMore
I had a vaginal birth 11 days ago. This is my first child so I am
completely clueless about everything. A couple of days ago I went to the
rest room and while I was wiping I accidently tugged on one of my stithes.
The next day there was a quarter length stitch on my leg. I am not in any
extra...

Nausea - an update by
anyone4tea
Well, it seems that there are several triggers to my NVP. Having
discovered them, things really seem to have improved immensely.
1) Orange juice
2) Toothpaste
3) Flossing my teeth.
4) Cheese
Pasta definitely seems to go down well, as do ham sandwiches (ham
cooked at home), boiled eggs and toast.

Braxton Hicks? by
CY
I am currently 16.5 wks along and since a couple of days ago I have been
feeling what I think are Braxton Hicks. I didn't have them with DD (but was
having real contractions at 25 wks), so I am not sure if that's what it is.
They seem to happen way more if I have to pee. Is that common? They...

You don't have eat like pigs! by

Have you heard of Gail Brewer's diet? (why drink milk when you can
drink
cream?)\
Nitpick: Gail Sforza Brewer was the writing partner of her
then-husband, ob-gyn Dr. Thomas Brewer.
I know. Tom did pioneer work with preventing preeclampsia or so he says.
The diet suggests that a pregnant woman...

A&G&K&H
I'm just off to discover what I can with google, but was wondering if anyone
here (Ericka?) could give me some info in a nutshell....
A friend of mine m/c two weeks ago and apparently isn't immune to rubella
(she did have the shot in her teens but obviously needs a booster). She
didn't m/c due to...

Funny dreams by
Jenrose
Anyone else have "I misplaced the baby" dreams while pg?
I've had some doozies. Also dreams where it felt like I was being kicked
from inside my thigh, dreams where the baby was born the size of a small
doll but 'just fine'.... But the latest theme is "Where'd we put the baby?"
Weird.

First Trimester Screening for Down Syndrome and Trisomy-18 by

I went to the hospital for my first trimester screening this morning. This
is the one that screens for Down syndrome and trisomy-18 with an ultrasound
(for nuchal translucency) and blood test (for freeBeta-hCG and PAPP-A).
Since I'm over 35 (and classed as 'elderly' by my OB :o) ) I'm...
