Baby Carriers for evacuees by jojo
following up on this thread, we moved our DS to a booster Saturday, and took 2 car seats (clean but worn and never wrecked) to the red cross. Sure enough, there were several families who needed those seats and the red cross still needs several more at one particular location. Thanks Irene (mom to...

Baby carriers for refugees by Irene
Some of the women I know on the forums at www.thebabywearer.com are trying to organize ways to get baby carriers to the hurricane refugees who are headed to Houston. (The one who is mostly organizing it is located in Houston). It's been heartbreaking watching the news, and knowing that there are...

baby cereal question by heughins1
With my older daughter, we used formula, so it was easy to mix cereal with her milk (formula). I just tried to hand express some milk to mix with my younger baby's cereal...it took me about 30 min. Are there any tricks of the trade I should know?

About four days ago a friend of mine informed me about a very safe clinical research study taking place in the Los Angeles area having to do with colic. Baby does not turn head, eyes to sounds by 223rem
He's 11 weeks old, and although we believe that he can hear (he is startled by loud noises for example) he does not turn his head \ and eyes to an unexpected sound source. Should I worry? His auditory test is scheduled for next week, but I really dont think his hearing is the issue. Thanks again.

Baby Einstein DVD on Ebay by [email protected]
We just listed 17 of the Baby Einstein DVDs on Ebay. Considering these puppies are $15-$20 each in the stores and your kid will like them for less than a year, they are a great thing to buy used. Here is the link to our listings: http://tinyurl.com/yyrymx Thanks, Danny Clark

Baby exercise by [email protected]
Over the nation we are seeing a whole new group of people running and jumping an stretching, and they're still in diapers. This is an exercise class for two-year- olds. The children run, jump on trampolines and even flip on the uneven bars. The US department of agriculture recommends kids as young...

Baby facial expressions by Shawn Barnhart
I've read many places that a very small baby's smiles (mine is 3w1d) are not "social smiles" as they haven't yet learned to make that facial expression/emotional association yet. Presumably they're just random facial expressions that we attach meaning to and ultimately teach (explicitely...

Hi. My son is 12 mo. old now and I am having an extremely hard time switching him over to big boy food. He ONLY wants baby food in jars. He'll eat crackers and peas, but that's about it. He screams hysterically when I show him the "big boy" food. When I say big boy food, I mean...

Baby Gates - Need Suggestion by Usenet Fan
I need to buy a baby gate for DS who is now 9 months and totally mobile. I want to get one that has the slats/bars rather than one with mesh or something solid, as my thought is to block off one small hallway, which would keep DS away from the bathroom, toilet and cat litter box. I would then also...
