intro and question by
Leann and Donald
Hi. My daughter, Lucy, is 10-1/2 months old. I had planned on
breastfeeding for 1 year and then begin ttc again. I have supplemented with
expressed breastmilk and formula here and there when I could not be
available. In fact, about a month in a half ago I went away for 2 days and
my mother gave...

antibiotics by

I have this infection on my leg. I plan to see the Dr. but I was wondering
if I could take anything for it. The baby doesn't take a bottle so that's
out of the question.

OT - IUD and bleeding q's by
Naomi Pardue
Does anyone know if this is normal? I had an IUD fitted 4 weeks ago
and had the normal cramps and bleeding that stopped after a couple of
days but they are back now.
Aren't IUDs usually inserted during your period? If so, might it not just be
time for your next period?
If not, the pamphlet I...

I hope someone can answer a few basic questions.
We will be adopting an infant soon and I would like to breastfeed. I have
seen a few references that this can be done but no specific information. Can
anyone please direct me. My doctor just shakes his head and gave me a one

Help! Too many breastfeeding problems by
David C
My baby is now 9 days old, and I am desperate to get her to latch
consistently, properly, and without a huge struggle. She was 6 lbs 5.5
oz at birth, dipped to 5 15, and seems to be getting back as she is
now 6 1. I've had lactation consultants, public health nurses,
doctors, and other moms offer...

Allergy Update by

DS appears to be over his milk allergy - fingers crossed! We have gradually
over the last months introduced it into his diet and no rashes - hurrah! I'm
going to get him weighed on Monday as a) it's his birthday and I so want to
see how much he has grown in the last year (well who wouldn't) and b)...

Hi all, I've been lurking here for quite some time, and now that my DD has
made her arrival into this world I have a few questions.
First off a little background. My DS was born 1-21-97, and I was only able
to breastfeed him for 6 weeks because my dr was insistent at me going on
the pill right...

1-) My son is two months old and last night my mother fed him half a

us when we where just 1 month old.
This is worrying me as I think my son will get an upset...
